Stay with me

"Fine, I'll listen." I reply irritatedly and he lets out a breath of relief.

"Alessia, I'm going to give you everything you've ever wanted in life, but it's not going to happen unless you stay with me. If you want me to leave you alone then I can, I won't interfere in your life any longer." He says softly.

I shake my head in annoyance, "No! You're wrong, I'll never agree with you, this isn't fair!" I shout angrily.

He leans forward and grabs both of my hands in his, "I promise that I'll always look after you, but I don't want to force you to stay with me."

"And what if I refuse to stay here?" I say stubbornly, clenching my fists tightly.

"Then I guess I'll have to leave you here." He says quietly.

I feel tears building up in my eyes, and I try to hide them but he notices anyway.

"Please don't cry." He whispers, pulling me closer.

I grab a fistful of his shirt and hold onto it tightly.

I'm mad at him, I'm frustrated because I feel as though he's not letting me choose.
