Alyssa’s Pov

What he had asked for was something I didn’t expect. A second chance? After all that I went through? A second chance when I already met my second chance mates and they seem to be way better than him?

“I know it can be a lot to you right now and you have to understand things before you can say a word, so I’m going to give you some time to think about my proposal. Ensure you take good care of yourself.” He said to me, and kissed the back of my hand before he rose to his feet.

I was dumbfounded and couldn’t say a word until he stepped out of my ward. I breathed out a sigh of relief and was glad that he was gone. The whole tension I felt while he was here was something I was very uncomfortable with, and I couldn’t wait for him to leave.
