Se connecterCHAPTER TWO
CLARA'S POV
When I entered the private lounge there were different men, each of them had two seductively dressed women with their laps barely closed. I wore my chef uniform inside the lounge to serve them, but I couldn't recognize Adrian between the different men.
The person I saw in the magazine was completely different from this personality. His body wracked with the smell of alcohol, while a slender young lady laid on his lap.
“Good day, Mr Adrian. I'm one of the new chefs you hired recently and I've been ordered to serve the private lounge for today.” My voice echoed softly.
“I don't need any form of introduction, just go straight to your duty.” He said, while the slender lady danced on his lap. At that moment I was so irritated at the sight of things.
The lady on his lap tapped him seductively, “Adrian shouldn't you be comforting your little daughter over your wife's third death anniversary.” I stood without flinching.
“What gives you the right to question me? You're just my company for tonight, so act accordingly!” His voice ran out, pushing her away from his lap instantly.
This man wasn't only like his father but was also reckless at his vulnerable state. His wife's death anniversary turns out to be the same reason for his actions.
“Lady you're so beautiful even with the fact you're fully dressed in a uniform.” One of his friends was in a full drunk state. I could feel the lust in their eyes, but I knew this wasn't the perfect time to penetrate.
I walked out of the private lounge instantly while holding the tray closely. Before I reached the Vale hotel kitchen, a hard palm grasped my hand.
And when I turned back it was my enemy, no other person than Adrian. His eyes were dark reddish, at his glance my heart skipped rapidly. But I didn't flinch because I grew up in a home where I met different expressions of my foster father.
“Clara Voss, where are you running so fast to? I heard you're one of the best chefs in this city, so I wondered what you would be doing in my hotel.” He said clearing the air, as he stared intensely.
“I don't have enough resources to establish my own hotel, so I would rather work for one of the talented billionaires. I heard your hotel is one of the best.” I said seductively, arching my eyebrows.
“Enough of the introduction, but you should be very careful around my hotel especially on my wife's death anniversary. Because I don't let fine women cross this building without being touched.” He replied boldly. And the room stood still at that moment, I couldn't grasp the next action to do.
“I would be glad to end up in your bed too like other ladies. Even though I heard you always act like nothing happened the following day.” I whispered seductively in his ear. He grabbed my hands instantly leading me to the private lounge.
The room was empty this time, there were no men nor women. As the empty room was reeked with the smell of liquor.
Fear overwhelmed me instantly, as I quickly scanned his facial expression knowing his next move was fully planned. I was about to leave his side before I remembered my foster father's warning.
“DON'T BE DECEIVED BY HIS LOOK,” it kept ringing in my head boldly. My foster father's training filled my mindset with venom that I was ready to do anything to punish this man before me.
Especially after seeing his performance today, Adrian used innocent ladies to satisfy his grief. Even grief couldn't hold his evil nature back, instead he was still a villain as always.
I remained silent waiting for his next move. Vulnerability was beyond what I was seeing.
“Please can you stay with me for a while.” He pleaded, his eyes were already going dim from the alcohol.
Instantly I sat close to him on the couch. I was so happy that I was definitely winning him over.
“Tell me about your late wife,” I said, my eyes scanning his facial expression. Besides my ear was a recorder my foster father installed to take note of everything.
“She was so beautiful like you and she also talked softly.” He laughed out softly, before he skipped the next class.
He stood up and immediately he fell back to the chair. “Don't mind me, my vision is blurry but I need to go back home. My daughter would be missing her father.” He said, about to stand up again before I held him.
“You shouldn't be alone tonight,” I said seductively, looking at him intensely. He held my hands but this time I could feel the grief within him.
“My daughter needs me. I'm the only one she has now.” His voice was faint this time.
“Your daughter wouldn't want to see her father in such a state.” I said softly.
He nodded his head calmly and placed his hands on my lap. His touch lingered on my lap and suddenly I was feeling a strange sensation.
“Neither would you want to be alone. Please follow me to my room, I would need company.” He said, his hands still touching my laps.
The heat within me increased, I never knew my enemy could make me feel this way just with his touch. But this wasn't going as planned, he wasn't supposed to sleep with me.
My mind was conflicted at that moment, but I had to follow him because I was ready to give up.
He held my waist while we entered the elevator leading to his suite. When the door opened he barely seemed aware of what he was doing.
He kept muttering his late wife's name until we entered the room. Adrian kissed me hard from the door and gradually we reached the bed. The suite was so dark that I couldn't see anything.
“Ana I've missed you for years.” He muttered, before he removed his clothes. At that moment I knew the best way to execute my plan was to have a one night stand with him.
Within the next seconds we were completely naked. Only my panties and his were still on, separating us slightly.
His lips moved over my skin, slow and consuming, pulling a reaction out of me I didn't expect.
Heat spread through me, unfamiliar and dangerous. This wasn't part of the plan but I didn't pull away.
The pleasure I felt was underestimated, at that moment I regretted being in such a position.
We continued until his vision faded. His last word he kept mumbling was his wife's name.
“I LOVE YOU ANA,” he muttered, before he went into a deep slumber. I stared at the man's face on top of me, he looked vulnerable.
I knew my father would be angry with me wherever he was. But then I remembered Julian voice “even if you need to seduce him to bed, don't leave any chance out.”
Perhaps my rage for vengeance was more than the dignity I held. To the extent I gave up myself to my enemy, one of Adrian's bloodline was my first.
But I didn't flinch because I knew tonight marks the beginning of his destruction. All my childhood till date I was raised to destroy his entire family and I've sworn to make them miserable.
Whatever I would encounter in his world would bring me closer to fulfilling my promise to my late father.
But I felt trapped between truth and desire with my childhood enemy. My inner thought denied the anger within me but I knew whatever happens, no matter what I felt, my mission would always come first.
All I could see was the downfall of Adrian Vale's bloodline.
But my mindset was overwhelmed with Adrian's bloodline downfall.
CHAPTER SIXTY NINE ADRIAN'S POVWe rushed into the court, my eyes covered with a dark shades. Minutes later, the hearing kicked off with the judge centred at the front of the court. The investors sat opposite us, they looked at us as I entered the sit.“Who's that lady with him?” One of them questioned, their voice sounded disgusted. “Probably she's the one we always see him with. That lady isn't good for me Adrian.” He suggested, whispering to his colleagues.“Ever since the billionaire started following that lady, he has been kind of distracted.” The rest of them murmured in agreement, could they be right? I scanned Clara repeatedly. That's not true, she doesn't have anything to do with what is happening in my life. Instead she has been a pillar since all this occurrence.“Adrian are falling for the lady?” That question rang repeatedly. That's not possible especially falling for a slut that I ended up with because of a one night stand.“The court hearing is about to start.” The jud
CHAPTER SIXTY EIGHT NORA'S POV “I was looking for you everywhere.” A soft voice echoed in the vicinity. It was Nora Vennet, how did she know my hiding spot.“Who told you I was here?” I questioned, scanning the shallow sea. “Your bestfriend told me about it.” I lied, my eyes scanned his full height.I hope he believes me. Adrian doesn't know I have full background information about his life from his hobbies to everything he dislikes.“You shouldn't have come here. I needed a fresh air to breath that's free from humans.” his voice was cold. Instantly I knew this man was going through a extremely though situation. And I caused it…I didn't know wether my father would be happy I caused someone so much pain. My father always says I should avoid any form of activities that causes hurt to anyone.“I wish I can help.” I muttered, holding his hands trying to compensate for my evil deed. I was really falling for the same man I laid a trap for.“Nothing can be done.” He heaved heavily. “We jus
CHAPTER SIXTY SEVEN ADRIAN'S POVBeing in the bad book of my Italian investors was one thing I have avoided only for everything to get ruined. Morning rushed so fast like it knew I had a lot to settle.“Doctor, I want to leave here now.” I ordered, instantly he clamped the drip. “You're more better than tomorrow, I would advice you stay for few days.” He suggested.“Stay?”“I should stay here while my years of hard work are at stake.” His jaws clenched. All the doctors turned and observed him slightly.“Mr Adrian,” paused. “We would let you go but promise to cut down anything alcohol for the main time.” A young doctor voiced, I could see the seriousness in his face.“Noted, I just need to leave this walls immediately. I'm going to make sure I take the vitamins and drugs.” I promised, they removed the monitors and accesses from my hands. She walked into the hospital with a basket of fruit while on her other hand was a food pack. “Good morning, Mr Adrian.” She greeted. “How's your bod
CHAPTER SIXTY SIXCLARA'S POV “Get out of my front before I clench your jaw!” His voice echoed through the wall, my body shivered with goosebumps. While my pulse raised uncontrollably.I moved out of their way. He switched on the television, and the national news was worse than I thought. “John, my company name is being tarnished and you guys said I should rest.” John drew closer to him with his hands folded. My brother's life first, I'm still working on resolving that issue, it seems the Italian people don't overlook things.“What do we know?” He asked, they both looked at each other. “Fix an open dialogue in the conference room tomorrow. Let's see if we can resolve this cordially.” Adrian suggested. Instantly John walked out of the room with his phone next to his ear.The atmosphere became cold and Mira was already lying down on the couch. “Mr Adrian, please I was to visit a place today.” I said asking for permission, he nodded his head in agreement.I scanned the atmosphere to en
CHAPTER SIXTY FIVECLARA'S POV “I'm his wife,” I replied, John turned to me, sending a dangerous look. “Your husband had a really severe fever and cold due to the heavy drinking.” My eyes widely opened. “Because of that he developed pneumonia that has to be managed immediately.” I stood still really confused, what do I know about disease conditions? The only place I could play around was in the kitchen.“What’s pneumonia?” I questioned. “Follow me to my office.” He commanded. The moment we entered his office he breathed heavily.“Mr Adrian's condition is more critical than we thought, he has been going through burnout for a while. Coping with the load of alcohol in his body has made him develop pneumonia.” He explained. “Does that mean he won't get better?” I asked, breathing heavily.“He would but with constant monitoring. It's important that after his recuperation we avoid any more stress.” He suggested, we discussed it for a while before I walked out.I didn't know how to feel, m
CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR CLARA'S POV His weight landed on my chest and the whole atmosphere was wrecked with the smell of liquor. I helped him to his room and the moment I was about to leave he held my hands.“Please don't leave me today,” he pleaded, I felt pity for him. I didn't know my actions could break the billionaire this much. Father would be happy wherever he was while my Foster father would throw a party. He flipped the phone over to me and showed me the video. The British investors sounded so ruthless in the video.“What happened to the project?” I asked cluelessly. He turned to my face and stared at me deeply, my hands shivered profusely.“You want to know what happened? There's no need! Just know that my name was ruined before the international TV.” He said.I felt so much pity for him because I have never seen Adrian this devastated. “My chef served them sugary food and the decorations collapsed in between the celebration.” He murmured.“How could that happen? My staff has n
CHAPTER FORTYCLARA'S POV The coldness of the water relaxed my nerves. Tonight I wasn't ready to see the faces of those ingrates, I wasn't ready to see Adrian in particular because I would be strangling each of them with my hands.I wasn't ready to act inappropriately yet. So I decided to avoid an

CHAPTER ONECLARA’S POV“Take this magazine,” Julian said coldly, as he offered me the blue wrapped stalk of documents.“What's this?” I questioned, while scanning the room despite his dangerous glare.“We’re running out of time, Clara Voss. Those responsible for you father’s death should be with h
