Mag-log inCHAPTER FOUR- Our fake court wedding
CLARA'S POV
“Get into the car woman, your work as my contract wife begins now.” He said coldly, signaling me to enter the front of the car.
“Ooooh okay,” I said without arguing, normally I would question where he was taking me to. But I didn't want to scatter my plan by making it fishy.
We arrived at a large glamor clothing galaxy and I looked at him wondering what we were doing here. This man is full of wonder just as my step father has said, I need to be very careful of him.
“Get down,” he ordered, and immediately I got down. We walked into the Galaxy and in my whole life I've never seen any female cosmetics shop this beautiful or luxurious.
Or perhaps I always lived in my stepfather's underground house instead of joining my mate to be a feminine. I never valued putting on girly clothes. Instead I grew up in a harsh condition which forced me to act like a male.
“There's no need for all this. I thought you said my work has begun so why are you bringing me to a fashion mall? Are you trying to turn me into a model?” I said softly.
“Don't question me, when we get inside you would know what you're here for. And beside please don't behave lost here because I don't entertain classless people.” He said mockingly, before pushing me into the mall.
His words pierced my heart deep, I couldn't bear hearing such harsh words from the very member of the family that strived me of my happiness. They forced me to live a harsh life that I was never prepared for.
I walked into the mall without hesitating, ensuring I was conscious of what was happening in the surrounding area.
“Good day, Mr Adrian.” A tall young lady greeted me as she bent down. The moment he entered the mall everywhere stood still and even the people inside weren't exceptional.
“We've got the mall ready for your guests.” The manager said.
“This is the woman I want you guys to dress her into royalty. Because right now she's looking like someone coming from a slum and I wouldn't want my fans or family to judge me as a result of me picking my new wife from a slum.
WHAT. HE CALLED ME A MERE SLUM
That statement rang multiple times in my head, if we were in the battlefield I would have chopped his hands off instantly. But now is his turn to insult me all he wants, because when I'm done destroying his family he would regret meeting me.
One of the mall workers took me inside the guest room and immediately they started dressing me in a different outfit.
“You look good on this one but let's still show Mr Adrian because he is very picky just like his little daughter.” The young girl said.
“You know his little daughter?” I asked in a curious tone ready to grab any information that I came across.
“Yes I know her, she has come here multiple times. And anytime she comes she finds everything difficult, she's a very problematic person especially after her mother passed on.” The young girl said, clearing her throat the moment Adrian entered the room.
“Why are you guys wasting my time? I don't have time to spare for baseless things.” He said before walking out, instantly we hastened with the preparation and that was how I forgot to dig into Adrian's daughter.
It seems I am going to meet a bigger knot to crack. I looked at his broad shoulders as he walked out of the room.
“This is perfect, at least you look better than before. With this look the crowd would believe the public show off.” He looked at me with disdain.
“So where are we going?” I said, hoping he would tell me what he was up to.
“We will be going to the court for registration of our fake wedding. And after the fake court wedding, we have to go to the social media stand point for publication.” He said coldly before we left the mall.
It was my first day in a mall but I enjoyed every bit of it. Since the death of my father I've been trained in a world grazed by men that I had to behave like one.
The court building caught my attention the moment we entered, the surrounding was engraved with marbles. With the cream painting beautifully laid out in a crystal form shape.
He held me closely and immediately he saw the press coming closer. This man beside me would really protect his name this much that he would go any height.
“Come closer,” he whispered into my ear, I could feel the hotness within my ear. I hate to accept that my enemy had an effect in making my body react impulsively especially after our one night stand.
I came nearer immediately as we walked together like love birds, no one would know we were flesh in each other's turn.
“We're so happy for our favorite business man. You finally found yourself a beautiful damsel, after your wife died we thought we would have lost you.” One of the press commented. And at that moment we were crowded until Adrian's bodyguard cleared the crowd for us to pass.
The whole atmosphere was filled with pleasant comments that I was going to choke. One thing I could grab from Mr Adrian lifestyle was that he would go to any extent to protect his good name and that would be the very trap I would be using against him.
Everyone settled into the court the moment we entered. As the judge brought out the marriage form with our name boldly written on it. We signed the documents instantly, Adrian came closer to me and kissed me hard.
My chin was burning red, I was about to push him further before I noticed that the press was around. Their camera flickered directly to our faces as we continued kissing.
Immediately we noticed they were no more present. Adrian pushed me away and I almost landed on the floor.
“Why would you do that?” I said fiercely, pointing my hands to his face while my other hands were folded. If my knife was close by I would have sniffed him off.
“Follow me,” he ordered, but I stood still as I breathed heavily. My hunger to sleeve this man before my hands grew more daily because he wasn't just a wicked man as my stepfather's said, instead he was a beast.
The Adrian's family were made of people ready to feast on people and go free easily. But I knew I was their last bus stop, he should treat me badly but I won't give up.
I followed him from behind, as he walked faster with his hands clinged beside his pocket. The car zoomed off instantly as we drove to a place I never had an idea about.
The building was so large, it was one of the largest empires I have ever seen. As we walked in fear overwhelmed me, especially with the fact that he did not tell me where this place is.
A young girl walked down slowly as she hugged Adrian. Her eyes met with mine and the only thing I could see was danger, because she looked at me from up to down like a mere slave.
CHAPTER SIXTY NINE ADRIAN'S POVWe rushed into the court, my eyes covered with a dark shades. Minutes later, the hearing kicked off with the judge centred at the front of the court. The investors sat opposite us, they looked at us as I entered the sit.“Who's that lady with him?” One of them questioned, their voice sounded disgusted. “Probably she's the one we always see him with. That lady isn't good for me Adrian.” He suggested, whispering to his colleagues.“Ever since the billionaire started following that lady, he has been kind of distracted.” The rest of them murmured in agreement, could they be right? I scanned Clara repeatedly. That's not true, she doesn't have anything to do with what is happening in my life. Instead she has been a pillar since all this occurrence.“Adrian are falling for the lady?” That question rang repeatedly. That's not possible especially falling for a slut that I ended up with because of a one night stand.“The court hearing is about to start.” The jud
CHAPTER SIXTY EIGHT NORA'S POV “I was looking for you everywhere.” A soft voice echoed in the vicinity. It was Nora Vennet, how did she know my hiding spot.“Who told you I was here?” I questioned, scanning the shallow sea. “Your bestfriend told me about it.” I lied, my eyes scanned his full height.I hope he believes me. Adrian doesn't know I have full background information about his life from his hobbies to everything he dislikes.“You shouldn't have come here. I needed a fresh air to breath that's free from humans.” his voice was cold. Instantly I knew this man was going through a extremely though situation. And I caused it…I didn't know wether my father would be happy I caused someone so much pain. My father always says I should avoid any form of activities that causes hurt to anyone.“I wish I can help.” I muttered, holding his hands trying to compensate for my evil deed. I was really falling for the same man I laid a trap for.“Nothing can be done.” He heaved heavily. “We jus
CHAPTER SIXTY SEVEN ADRIAN'S POVBeing in the bad book of my Italian investors was one thing I have avoided only for everything to get ruined. Morning rushed so fast like it knew I had a lot to settle.“Doctor, I want to leave here now.” I ordered, instantly he clamped the drip. “You're more better than tomorrow, I would advice you stay for few days.” He suggested.“Stay?”“I should stay here while my years of hard work are at stake.” His jaws clenched. All the doctors turned and observed him slightly.“Mr Adrian,” paused. “We would let you go but promise to cut down anything alcohol for the main time.” A young doctor voiced, I could see the seriousness in his face.“Noted, I just need to leave this walls immediately. I'm going to make sure I take the vitamins and drugs.” I promised, they removed the monitors and accesses from my hands. She walked into the hospital with a basket of fruit while on her other hand was a food pack. “Good morning, Mr Adrian.” She greeted. “How's your bod
CHAPTER SIXTY SIXCLARA'S POV “Get out of my front before I clench your jaw!” His voice echoed through the wall, my body shivered with goosebumps. While my pulse raised uncontrollably.I moved out of their way. He switched on the television, and the national news was worse than I thought. “John, my company name is being tarnished and you guys said I should rest.” John drew closer to him with his hands folded. My brother's life first, I'm still working on resolving that issue, it seems the Italian people don't overlook things.“What do we know?” He asked, they both looked at each other. “Fix an open dialogue in the conference room tomorrow. Let's see if we can resolve this cordially.” Adrian suggested. Instantly John walked out of the room with his phone next to his ear.The atmosphere became cold and Mira was already lying down on the couch. “Mr Adrian, please I was to visit a place today.” I said asking for permission, he nodded his head in agreement.I scanned the atmosphere to en
CHAPTER SIXTY FIVECLARA'S POV “I'm his wife,” I replied, John turned to me, sending a dangerous look. “Your husband had a really severe fever and cold due to the heavy drinking.” My eyes widely opened. “Because of that he developed pneumonia that has to be managed immediately.” I stood still really confused, what do I know about disease conditions? The only place I could play around was in the kitchen.“What’s pneumonia?” I questioned. “Follow me to my office.” He commanded. The moment we entered his office he breathed heavily.“Mr Adrian's condition is more critical than we thought, he has been going through burnout for a while. Coping with the load of alcohol in his body has made him develop pneumonia.” He explained. “Does that mean he won't get better?” I asked, breathing heavily.“He would but with constant monitoring. It's important that after his recuperation we avoid any more stress.” He suggested, we discussed it for a while before I walked out.I didn't know how to feel, m
CHAPTER SIXTY FOUR CLARA'S POV His weight landed on my chest and the whole atmosphere was wrecked with the smell of liquor. I helped him to his room and the moment I was about to leave he held my hands.“Please don't leave me today,” he pleaded, I felt pity for him. I didn't know my actions could break the billionaire this much. Father would be happy wherever he was while my Foster father would throw a party. He flipped the phone over to me and showed me the video. The British investors sounded so ruthless in the video.“What happened to the project?” I asked cluelessly. He turned to my face and stared at me deeply, my hands shivered profusely.“You want to know what happened? There's no need! Just know that my name was ruined before the international TV.” He said.I felt so much pity for him because I have never seen Adrian this devastated. “My chef served them sugary food and the decorations collapsed in between the celebration.” He murmured.“How could that happen? My staff has n

CHAPTER ONECLARA’S POV“Take this magazine,” Julian said coldly, as he offered me the blue wrapped stalk of documents.“What's this?” I questioned, while scanning the room despite his dangerous glare.“We’re running out of time, Clara Voss. Those responsible for you father’s death should be with h

CHAPTER FORTYCLARA'S POV The coldness of the water relaxed my nerves. Tonight I wasn't ready to see the faces of those ingrates, I wasn't ready to see Adrian in particular because I would be strangling each of them with my hands.I wasn't ready to act inappropriately yet. So I decided to avoid an
