"Nothing, absolutely nothing? Are you completely certain?" I asked, pacing across the length of my office in the pack house. Xander had finally returned from the lead he had been tracking but even that hit a deadend which forced him to turn and come right back.
"I tried, Silas. But tracking them only led me so far and then it was like their scent vanished. I'm not even sure how," My beta, Xander said sounding perplexed. His thick brows pinched together, shoulders slack in disappointment. It seemed like he finally met his match. Whoever did this, fucked with my entire life, was someone skilled and knew his way around my kind, "It's like their scent was there but I couldn't grasp at it long enough to track it.
