Chapter 10

Meanwhile…

Theo’s POV

“Do you think he’s done it?” Jerry asked as he placed his beer on the table.

“What’re you talking about? Do what? Who is even doing it?” I scowled 

“Oh don’t act dumb with me Theo! Today’s Friday, Ray took uhm… what’s her name again?” He came to an abrupt stop and went deep into thoughts while I just started blankly 

“Well whatever her name is, he’s hooking up with her tonight and it’s game over for you. First we lose our money and then you lose your tittle as the number one bad boy and respected Playboy I’ve ever known. I never supported the Playboy thing but I certainly don’t want you to go down like this, please tell me you have a plan. Should we go bust them up? Call the police and say they’re smoking pot so they get interrupted? You know what baffles me the most?” He said as he looked me in the eye

“What?” I asked 

“The fact that I’m here, panicking about your future and tittle while you’re just sitting there, looking at me like a bone ass and drinking beer. It’s like you don’t even care about tonight! I’m thinking, should I be worried about them or you?” He looked at me intently, waiting for an answer but what should I say? That I’m alright? That I’m not freaking out about this? Well I’m not, and I mean it, I’m totally not scared or shaking so much I’d pee my pants. I already know who the winner is…

I dropped my glass as I settled done on my chair. “ I don’t give a damn what Ray does okay? So stop worrying and fretting all over the place. You’d think I’m kuku in the brains but I assure you my friend, I’m fine. Don’t you trust me anymore? I’m not going to give up my crown without going out with a fight!” 

“So what then do we do? Should we raid her apartment? Call the cops? Man I’m all ears and knowing you, I know you’ve got some sick plans in that head of yours just waiting to burst out so spill” He smirked. My advise for you guys out there, get a friend that would rob a bank with you just because you said so. 

Don’t do that dumbo! 

I mean, don’t rob a bank, just… get someone who would do stupid things with you just to make you happy, I have a friend like that, and his name is Jeremy.

“As much as I’d appreciate that J, I’d rather we just drink our boos and wait for it to happen, but trust me. I have a plan…” I smirked 

He didn’t argue further, we just sat there, watching TV and drinking boos.

~~~Few minutes later~~~

We both took our eyes off the TV as it landed on a dejected looking Ray, sleeves all rolled up to his elbows and his eyes looked tired. We sat anxiously anticipating the matter as Ray took long strides towards our table, you could even feel his gloomy mood radiating from where he was walking. He reached out table and Jerry made space for him. 

Something definitely happened with Lucy, I thought he would come here at least celebrating, even though I knew it would be fake

“What happened man?” I tried to sound as sympathetic as I could but I would literally give in to the laughter building up inside me just some minutes more…

“We broke up. Lucy and I broke up” He sighed 

“Oh! So that’s her name… Lucy” Jerry said with enthusiasm before he read the room 

He was being tactless and he just realized it

“I’m sorry, continue with your story” Jerry apologized 

“Thank you. I just couldn’t do it you know. The day went horribly wrong, she kept taking me to boring places and when we finally hit things off in her apartment, I just couldn’t do it” He buried his hands in his hair

“You mean? You didn’t bang her?” Jerry asked again

“NO JERRY, I literally couldn’t fuck her because I kept seeing this asshole's face all over her body! Her boobies, even her…” I couldn’t hold my laugh any longer.

I burst into wild chuckles as they watched me with humor and distaste

“I’m so sorry, I just couldn’t hold it any longer” Some wind screen laughs escaped from my lips.

“What the hell Theo!” Ray roared as he grabbed my collar, he was so ready to punch me with his eyes blazing like that at me. I felt like a prey, but not for long.

“Bro chill, don’t get all handy on me. It’s that simple, you wasted 2 months dating a girl you didn’t even bang when the opportunity came. It means, you blew it and I’m still in the game” I chuckled

“What? I thought you said you’ve slept with her before so there’s no way you’ll have a second chance with her” Ray said as he released my collar 

“My dear dear Ray, the fact is that, I never slept with Lucy” I smirked and I heard a gasp. Then I turned to Jerry, and his eyes grew wild wanting me to continue 

“Its not possible! She, she slapped you the first day you approached her, I saw it with my own eyes!” Ray shouted 

“I say let’s do a little flashback shall we?” 

>>flashback to two months ago…<<

“Okay, we go out on the count of three. One_” I didn’t waste time as I approached the target.

“Hey there, I’m Theodore, can I know your name?” I smiled sweetly at the blonde haired girl

“Lucy” she smiled as she shook my hand. My back was towards Ray and Jerry so they couldn’t see what was going on 

“Okay Lucy, you see. My friend over there, the one with the red shirt. Yeah, he just got left at the alter last week and he’s been s heartbroken, tonight I tried to bring him out of his house so he could try to find love again and he seems to have eyes for you. Now he would come here to ask for your number and he might try to get his groove on so please, would you give him a chance?” I put on my cutest face, upper lips sucked in and staring intently. Then I brushed my hands through my hair so they’d think I was making my move.

“Awwn, you’re such a nice friend. You’re so kind, sure! I’ll give him my number” she smiled 

“Thank you so much! This means a lot to me since he’s my dear friend” I smiled 

“But could you just do me this favor and slap me right across the face?” 

“Are you sure?” She asked concerned 

“Definitely” I reassured her with my smile. Then her palms struck my cheeks like lightening!

I swear I wasn’t ready for that. I think she dislocated my jaw!

Anyway, it’s good. It’s convincing enough. I walked back to the guys

I smiled as I stared at my audience. 

They were stunned, bereft of words in fact. So I went on

“Ray, you remember that day I went to your office and we found out you couldn’t drink from same cup as me?” Still in a state of shock, he nodded 

“I went over to where Lucy always had yoga classes and we bumped Into each other” 

>>Another flashback<<

I waited patiently as I watched Lucy from afar walk out of her yoga class, I held my mat in hand as I proceeded. I had jogged down the street so I would have some sweat on me to make it seem more believable. 

“Lucy??” I exclaimed 

“Hii, Theo right?” She smiled 

“Yes, it’s so good you still remember me from the bar last time” I smiled

“I was just coming from my yoga classes and I saw you so I decided to say hi” 

“OMG you do yoga too? I’ve been trying to get Ray to try some yoga” 

“You know, just having to connect with the Earth is something I’ve always wanted and when I always do yoga, Enya's wild child helps me connect more” I closed my eyes as I smiled inwardly. This one should get her

She covered her mouth with her hands “Shit! Get out of here! I do that too! I listen to practically all her songs” She chuckled 

“That’s so cool, we have so much in common. Well…” My phone rang and I picked it up. It was fatso and he wanted me back at work. 

I groaned as we finished speaking 

“Well I have to go now. Looks like things got

to spicy for the pepper!” we said in unison

“Wow. I hate to cut this short. It’s work” I sighed 

“I’ll see you later then” She winked as she walked away

I laughed as I walked away, dumping the mat in a garbage can

“You’re such a devil!” Ray shouted 

“Right??” I smirked 

“And we’ve been in touch ever since. So every nice thing you’ve ever done for her, she thinks I can do double, I’m twice nice and we have a lot in common, I’m also your friend and right now, I’m sure she’ll need comfort from a friend that understands her just like me” I smirked 

“Of all the years we’ve been together and I’ve known you, I have never seen this card from your deck before, like… this is beyond my imagination. You indeed are the king!” Jerry praised 

I felt my phone vibrate and I pulled it from my pocket, as I looked at my caller ID I smirked 

“Look who’s calling now” I waved Lucy’s name in their faces before picking the call 

“Hey Lucy,” I said with enthusiasm 

“Oh no, he didn’t. Do you need me to come comfort you? Okay. I’ll be right over, just send your address, I had no idea you guys broke up. You know what? I’m on my way so we can talk about everything” I hung up

“I’ll see you later boys and Jerry? Do me a favor and ready my cash” I winked. 

Minutes later…

“I’m so sorry Lucy. I didn’t think he’d treat you that way” I sighed. I was right beside Lucy, who was in nothing but a bath robe. With her mixed emotions, I’m sure I can Soo bang her tonight.

“And he left me so horny, just like that! He said he didn’t wanna catch cooties, like I’d ever even have cooties” She sniffled and I picked up her hands not wasting my opportunity

“I would never say that to you” I said with a sexy voice as I pulled her hand into my mouth.

“You wouldn’t?” 

“If you give me a chance baby, I would make tonight worth your while” I stroked her fingers with my wet tongue 

And before you know it, we were on the floor, groping and kissing and we all know what comes next…

The fact is, I win…

Theo always wins…

*Theo later sent pictures of Lucy and him in bed as evidence to Ray and Jerry. He was handed the money in return for winning the bet.*
