CHAPTER 6: FAMILY FARM

Juanita was still in shock and thinking that she had seen wrong, she read the contents repeatedly until she was convinced that everything was real. She dismissed the email and a menu icon popped up again.

Since everything was real and this was a treasure to her and she was the owner of this place, Juanita was now calm. There was no way that she had been abducted since she could get here, it also meant that there was a way for her to go back to her house again.

She began to look into the menu icon to see what more this screen could do. Juanita read everything she could and the more she learned about this farm, the happier she was.

This was the best thing that happened to her ever. She no longer felt sad about being fired and her day going wrong. If all of that had not happened, how was she supposed to encounter such a miracle?

Juanita learned that the farm was special and so good. She didn’t need to get herself dirty at all as she could with a few commands make the farm do all the work itself.

The more she grows crops, rear livestock, or trade, the more she will have chances to level up. This farm wasn’t like the games she once played and had to pass one hundred levels or more than that.

She only had to reach level ten and everything will be sorted but she had this feeling that it wasn’t that easy for one to reach that level ten.

The benefits she knew currently was that she could grow her crops and eat healthily and the crops matures so fast that she could sell them outside and make money from them.

She now owns a farm, a thatched hut that could be upgraded when she levels up and this place was simply miraculous and the air was just amazing and it felt refreshing.

She also found a way to go back home and all she had to do was think about it and when she tried it, she was relieved to find herself back in her apartment. She returned to the farm as she still has more things to do.

She went out again and looked around the hut as well as the two pieces of land that were waiting for her to start doing the job. She was not in a hurry as she had things to take care of.

She went to the well and scooped some water with a cup she took from her kitchen. When she drank the water, her eyes nearly popped out with satisfaction. 

“This water is simply so amazing!” she complimented with her eyes closed, feeling as the water moved in her bloodstream.

The taste on her tongue was just amazing, she began to have nasty thoughts about making money. If she were to see a bottle, how much will she sell it for? But when she thought of how she shouldn’t let people know about this once more, she decided to keep a low profile.

Juanita drank another cup of water and felt satisfied. Now that she had surveyed the place, she decided to go down to business and return to her apartment. She went back inside and clicked onto the screen.

She picked the farm area and realized that in the barn icon there was one bag of seeds and it was rice. Rice was more like a staple food and she didn’t mind planting this at all.

After clicking onto the plant button, she watched in awe as the field changed within seconds. The more she watched, the more she felt like her world views will be shattered but she remained there, sitting on the bed and watching everything as it unfolds.

The shocking thing was that the rice matured after six hours and a notification sounded from the room, “the rice has matured and you can now harvest the rice.”

Juanita was so happy to have witnessed this miracle. Who knew that one could grow rice and harvest it in just six hours? She was going to give her parents some of this miraculous rice and let them enjoy the benefits of being her parents.

She clicked onto the harvest button and after a flash, the field was empty but where was her rice?

She was panicking but when she saw another blinking icon on the screen, she clicked onto it and realized that her produce had been sent to the barn and she managed to harvest two bags of rice, twenty kilograms each.

Even though one field could produce one bag like that, she didn’t regret it at all. It was a good thing that she could have so much food to eat without her paying for it.

Juanita was now filled with a fighting spirit and decided to plant as much rice as she can and give most of it to her parents for their consumption and maybe sell some later.

To avoid being in direct contact with customers, she decided to open an online store and deal with everything there. After sorting out her emotions, Juanita decided to plant more rice but realized that there were no seeds left.

This truly shocked her and took her back, she then realized that she had to buy more seeds if she wanted to plant but at the moment, she didn’t have any coins so she was forced to sell her two bags of rice to earn some money. It was a bit painful but she comforted herself and promised to keep more rice in the future as long as there was enough money on the farm.

After selling the rice, she bought the seeds and planted the rice. This time she didn’t wait to witness the whole thing but left directly and appeared in her apartment.

She picked up her phone to check what date it was and the time. After seeing the time, she could sigh and lament. It was already a new day and in the afternoon. It was also at this point she noticed that she had not eaten for a while.

She went to her fridge, took out her lunch, and warm it. Juanita ate hurriedly as she was starving and it had been ages since she ate something. Recalling the taste of the water she drank back on the farm, she picked a five liters bucket and returned to the farm and filled it.

She returned with the water and drank some to her content. She filled some bottles and placed them into the fridge for future consumption.
