The town square had been turned into a parking lot and was already full by the time we arrived in town. "This is by far the most attended mating ceremony," Elias spoke as he found a spot for parking right outside the ballroom. Despite saying I wasn't going to get marked, deep down I wanted it and my words carried no weight.

"This is...amazing!" Nyra threw her hands in the air, grimacing when she hit her pinky finger in the process. She stuck her head out of the window, pointing at two teens whose tongues were down on each other's throats.

"Looks like they just found each other," Maribel whispered beside me, giving the couple a look of longing, with a sparkle in her eyes. I didn't say a word as I sniffed the air, trying to pick up my mates scents.

"We are here," I mind-linked Kai, looking around the compound.

"Stay right there, little kitten. Maribel will walk you in when it is time for your introduction officially as our mate and the Luna of this kingdom," he instructed.
