Kaira's POV.

Shortly after we left the hospital and before he could drive me home, Damian turned to me.

"Take care of yourself... We will talk later, Kaira."

His voice was calm. Too calm that the words felt strange, like he was already pulling away from me.

"You are not coming with us?" I asked softly. A small worry crept into my chest. If he stayed behind, how would he get home by himself? He had never done this before... right? But... why would he stay?

My thoughts drifted back to everything that happened inside the hospital. The moment his mother mistook me for Sarah had already been confusing, but hearing the rest of it made my stomach twist.

Was their relationship really that close? And what exactly happened between them? His mother did not even look old enough to have a grown son like Damian. She was beautiful and youthful, yet she was lying in a hospital room with an illness that did not show on the outside. According to Damian, she had amnesia.

However, something about it all

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   Doctor L's Panic

The first person they saw upon entering the hospital was a male nurse. His steps slowed when he noticed Damian. Their eyes met and stayed locked for a brief moment, like a silent exchange passed between them. The nurse bowed slightly.Damian returned the gesture with a small nod.As the nurse was about to walk past them, Samuel spoke up."Wait."The nurse stopped at once."Is Doctor L in his office?" Samuel asked."Yes, sir," the nurse replied quickly in a respectful tone."Let him know we are here," Damian said."Yes, sir."The nurse turned to leave, but Samuel stopped him again."Wait."The nurse froze where he stood.Samuel turned to Damian. "Do we really need that?" he asked calmly.Damian’s eyes narrowed, but he said nothing.Samuel continued, "We already know he is around. Let’s just go in. If he sees us, he will act right. Why give him time to prepare?"Vincent stood quietly behind them, stiff as a shadow, clutching the envelope Damian had handed him, not daring to speak or eve

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   D-Day at Naim

It was the next day, and Damian’s thoughts would not leave the paternity test. The result was supposed to be ready within twenty-four hours, and he arrived at the hospital at the exact time. The memory of yesterday also lingered. After Sarah had left, he stood outside the hospital for nearly twenty minutes, his sharp eyes kept scanning every passing face. Vincent arrived much later than expected. At first, Damian assumed the delay was due to the investigation he had assigned to him. Because he had ordered Vincent to look into Marcus, the owner of the Glass House, the place where he first met Kaira.Something about Marcus had unsettled him. The man’s words at the castle sounded harmless on the surface, but they carried a weight Damian could not ignore. He had kept a calm front then, but the moment they went outside, he instructed Vincent to dig deeper. So far, nothing solid had come up.Yesterday was Vincent’s last chance. There had been some progress, but it was still not enough. Vin

Damian stood in front of Naim Private Hospital, his posture was stiff, with a tightened jaw.He checked the time on his wristwatch again."What’s taking him so long?" he muttered through clenched teeth.Vincent should have reported back by now.Damian exhaled slowly, forcing himself to calm down. He was the one who had asked Vincent to take Kaira out to eat and then drop her home. So, with Vincent taking his time was partly his fault.Still…He curled his fingers into his palm.Vincent should have moved faster and be here already.Lost in his thoughts, a soft voice pulled him back."Sir?"Damian turned sharply. It was the same nurse from inside the hospital earlier. His irritation surfaced instantly. "Again?" he snapped. "What do you want now?"She flinched but forced a polite smile. "I'm sorry, sir. Just wanted to ask if you’re uncomfortable standing. I could bring you a chair or...""I’m fine," he cut in coldly, not letting her finish. She nodded quickly, clearly embarrassed.Damian

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   Truth's heavy toll

Kaira's POVInside the apartment, I barely had time to sit on the couch before they started pressing me with questions. Even on the way home, they had not stopped."Is he a family member?' Jason asked, curiosity was clear in his voice. "Someone we have never met before? You have not met him either, right? Was it your first time seeing him?""Yes," Camille added quickly. "I was thinking the same thing. He has to be someone close to you... right?"Both of them kept staring at me, waiting for my answer.I was wrong.I had thought they already knew he was my father, judging by their reaction earlier. Or maybe they were pretending not to know, giving me space. Now I understand. They wanted me to tell them myself.I turned to Jason, then to Camille, and noticed the familiar fidget in their movements. They did not want to push me too hard and kept pretending to be casual so I would not feel pressured.Telling them would not hurt. They would find out eventually anyway. They were my friends re

Kaira's POVIt was Camille and Jason, waving at us with smiles on their faces."They’re your friends, right?" he asked, turning from them to look at me.They were standing across from the café, probably on their way to my place when they noticed me. Just as they were about to cross the road, a car sped past, forcing them to stop and wait.I couldn’t wave back. I was too weak to even fake a smile, which was unlike me."Can you do me a favor, Kaira?" he asked softly.Weakly, I tilted my head toward him."What is it?"I wanted to hate him. I wanted to avoid him for not coming sooner. But he came anyway and explained everything. It wasn’t entirely his fault. Fate had been cruel to us.He is my father. He brought me into this world, and he loved his family before everything fell apart. I decided to give him a chance, to allow him back into my life. It felt like the right thing to do.I couldn’t live knowing my father was alive and still act like I had no one. I would honor my parents’ wish

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   A doll's tragedy

Kaira's POV"How… how could you…" I started, my voice breaking."I’m… I’m sorry, Kaira," he said hoarsely, reaching for my wrist.I did not move, and stood there like a statue, frozen in shock."Please, sit. Sit and let me tell you everything," he pleaded, his hand gently holding mine, his eyes filled with desperation.Without hesitation, I pulled my hand away and sank weakly back into the chair. This could not be real. Why did he never tell me? Why did he leave me all those years without looking for me or visiting? I grew up feeling like an orphan, without parents, without care, without love.No. It was not possible.Mr Stewart could not be my father. He would not have abandoned his own child."I know you do not want to listen, but please hear me out," he said softly. "I am not saying I am without fault, but I do not want to spend the rest of my life regretting the time I did not have with you, Kaira."I looked up at him weakly. "What are you talking about? I do not understand. Pleas
