# Kaira's POV

Immediately, the officers rushed toward me, pulling out their handcuffs as if they were going to arrest a dangerous criminal.

"Come with us."

"With respect," Damian cut in, his voice sharp enough to freeze the air. The officers immediately backed away and apologized with their heads bowed.

"Please come with us, ma'am," they said, their tone completely changed.

I smiled inside, grateful things had turned in my favor.

My supposed family was speechless because of the revelation. Damian had turned out to be someone from a world they could never reach.

"I have a few things to pack from my room. May I?" I asked in a calm tone.

Both officers' eyes went straight to Damian. He responded with a simple gesture to let me go.

"I'll be waiting in the car. You have a few minutes, Kaira. Don't keep me waiting too long," Damian said, with his authoritative voice.

"Stay with her until she's done and help her if needed," he added, ordering the officers like they were his personal assistant

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   Tonia's wicked scheme

Tonia lay back on the soft bed, her legs crossed and her eyes were fixed on the door."He should be here soon," she said in a low voice, a sneaky smile curving her lips. She wore a tight, red dress that accentuated her shape, featuring a low neckline that revealed a hint of her chest. Her hair fell down her back, and her lips were painted a deep red.Even though it was still early, Tonia looked bright and beautiful, her skin glowing softly."My time here wouldn't be a waste, just watch and see," she added confidently. She had arrived at the hotel room a little early, eager to wait for her companion. As she settled in, she poured herself a glass of juice from the mini-bar, her eyes never leaving the door. The room was quiet, except for the hum of the air conditioner and the soft ticking of the clock on the bedside table.Tonia’s anticipation grew with each passing minute, her eyes sparkling with expectation."No one can resist this body," she murmured, glancing down at herself."No one

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   Stolen phone

Kaira's POVOutside Camille’s house, standing in the alleyway, I couldn’t shake the thoughts from my head. What her mom had said to me kept echoing again and again, every word still ringing in my ears since I left her presence. My feet felt heavy, my chest tight. I didn’t even notice when I reached the gate.Helen’s voice had broken through my thoughts then, pulling me back to reality."Are you even listening? You seem out of it. What are you thinking? I hope everything’s alright?" she had said, her voice was soft but filled with worry. Her hand tapped my shoulder lightly, and that little touch snapped me out of my fog.I blinked, realizing I’d been staring into space. "Oh yeah! Yeah, everything’s fine. I was just... spaced out, yeah, spaced I guess," I had replied, my voice sounding more startled than calm. She had studied my face for a second, not quite believing me, then smiled faintly. "I was thanking you about earlier. I didn’t expect you would involve yourself. Thank you."Her

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   Under her gaze

Kaira's POV "I'm sorry..." I whispered, guilt written all over my face. But Helen didn’t even seem to hear me. Confusion flashed in her eyes as she quickly bent to grab the pot lid, covering the food back, then pulled at her oversized gown and threw it aside.I just stood there, frozen, watching her every move. My lips parted like I wanted to say something, but I didn’t. It wouldn’t change anything now. When she took off the gown, I thought she was about to change right there in the kitchen and almost looked away. But to my surprise, she already had another dress underneath, like she had known something like this might happen."Oh, you had it on," I said quietly. It was the same outfit she wore when she came to get me earlier."Yeah. In case of emergencies like this one. I'm always prepared, you know," she said quickly, her voice was a bit shaky and rushed.I thought she would be angry at me. It was my fault, and it was actually worth getting mad about. Camille’s mom isn’t the patien

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   Forgotten message

Kaira's POV "No, I was…" I started to say, but I was cut off quickly. I wanted to tell her she was hardworking; cooking, washing her clothes, and cleaning all at once, alone in this big house. "I know, and I’m begging you," she said, slowly lifting her head to look at me. "Oh, okay. I wasn’t going to say anything though. I just wanted to tell you that you’re hardworking," I said flatly. She reminded me of myself. I saw myself in her, carrying the whole house on my shoulders like a maid instead of a family. "What do you mean? I thought… your reaction earlier was like someone who would report me right away. My boss doesn’t like it when I’m cooking and not in the kitchen," she said, her face showing a mix of worry, tiredness, and fear. I didn’t even know how to describe that look. "And she likes everything neat, but I look messy now…" she said with a small, awkward smile, glancing down at her clothes. "You shouldn’t do things that will upset her next time," I said gently. She l

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   Hidden plea

Kaira's POV"Seriously? You don't know about her departure?" Camille's mom’s voice was low and cold. Just hearing her speak sent chills down my body. Her voice felt like it could cut right through my heart."Ma?" I said softly, unsure of what to say.My brows lifted in confusion, and I turned to look at the maid who had brought me here. But she was gone. She had left already, leaving only the two of us in the room. When the maid led me here, we passed through the main living room, the one close to Camille’s room downstairs.Camille’s house had two living rooms. The one near the entrance was large and warm, with the dining room and kitchen nearby, as well as a restroom and a guest room. However, the second living room was upstairs. It was quieter, and everything looked expensive. Camille’s mom’s room was beside it, and across from that was her husband’s room. There was also a small balcony that looked cozy, more personal, like her private corner. Camille once told me her mom loved sta

  • PREGNANT WITH THE COLD CEO'S BABY   At Camille's house

Kaira's POV After thinking everything through, I got up from the bed and stretched my arms. "Let's not only think but start acting," I whispered to myself and reached for my towel. My eyes felt itchy, so I gently rubbed them. Maybe, perhaps, because of the nighttime food. My stomach still felt a bit heavy. I took off my pajamas and wrapped the towel around me before hurrying to the bathroom. After my bath, I brushed my teeth and came out. My skin was already dry, so I went straight to my bag and took out my body lotion. It’s the same one I use on my face too. The tube was almost empty, and the writing on it was already fading. I pressed it softly, careful not to waste much. The smell was light and clean as I rubbed it all over my body. This lotion had lasted almost a year. I use it little by little because I don’t know when I’ll have money to buy another one. When I was done, I let out a small sigh and pulled my box closer. "What should I wear?" I said, resting my chin on my ha
