REBELLION

Seris woke up to the cool morning of Autumn, the leaves in the palace trees fall, and the day becomes short.

What a time to be alive.

Seris goes to the bathroom to take her bath, she had duties in the floating palace. Going to the bathroom, she looked at her mirror and boy has she changed.

Her green eyes shinning brighter than ever, her hair silky and long, her body is in the right proportions, who knew a wolfless wolf would be in such a good condition.

Seris remembered the torture of eating a proper meal and having to throw them up because her system wasn't used to good food.

Sighing and remembering the bitter past, she comes out of the bathroom.

She uses her lotion for her now bright and clear skin, if she was in such a good condition for a maid, she could just imagine the luxury of the high-ranking officials, she didn't even want to wrap her head on how good the royals would be treated.

Seris during her short time here, noticed a pattern and that was hierarchy. Everyone respected anyone above them and things functioned smoothly.

Wearing her maid uniform, Seris wrapped her hair in a neat bun, so as not to get in the way of her cleaning.

Rushing to the main hall, Seris greeted her seniors as she stood in the line.

“You all, here, would be working at the floating palace from today onwards.” A strong female voice echoed in the hall.

Seris could see the excitement on the faces of the maid present.

“Mistakes are not allowed in the floating palace if you have weak nerves, speak now as excuses would not be heard!” The female voice continued.

“You were specially handpicked to carry out your duties, May the moon be with you!”

“May the moon strengthen us” They all replied as they followed a senior maid towards the direction of the floating palace.

“You must be excited, seeing as you dressed extra today” Sequoia said to Seris.

Sequoia has turned out to be the other half Seris never knew she wanted.

She remembered telling Sequoia about her wolf, and she remembered Sequoia cussing out the Silver moon Pack.

Sequoia also had her story, her father was framed for a big crime, she was from a noble family of Elf's, so due to the incident, her father was killed and her family banished.

The Elf's could not kill her because she was the last Dark Elf of her race.

“You're also dressed up too, you got the new pair of shoes” Seris pointed out.

“I cannot believe, we would be working at the floating palace the whole day. I do not want this day to end.” Sequoia said excitedly.

Seris chuckled at how excited she was, an excited 16-year-old, totally replaced the cold Sequoia.

“And yet, you tease me!” Seris said.

They stepped into a portal that immediately transported them to a hall.

The hall was adorned with Gold, it had extravagant paintings, they were like insects inside the hall.

“This is the grand hall, the Luna queen's favourite place, I'll assign your tasks now, do them fast and as neatly as possible.” A girl said in a cool tone.

Seris was assigned to the rooms, she was to clean as many rooms as she could.

The palace has been busy lately because the blood moon was just 3 months away and that meant the coronation of Alphas is only three months away.

This meant that the young Alpha's of each Pack would officially become the main Alpha's, this also means that the Alpha Prince would officially be crowned king and a new era would begin.

The palace had to be at its best, be it humans or things, as other royals and high-ranking officials from different races would be visiting the King and Queen every day until the grand occasion.

At this point, Seris whole body ached. She had cleaned the entire day, and she cleaned about 3 rooms.

“What in the moon is this?” Seris cussed lowly as she was afraid to be heard.

Seris went under the bed to clean it properly as it was too dusty.

“Honey are you sure you would be able to kill the Young Beta” A sultry female voiced said calmly.

“Yes, we would attack tonight, we know he would be in the training ground all by himself.” A man said.

Seris almost gasped but held her mouth, she didn't want them to find out she was beneath the bed, she would be killed if they heard her.

“Why can't we kill the Young Alpha directly.” The woman cooed as she had her hand trailing his tread line in the man's expensive suit seductively.

“Camelia, I can't kill your brother, not when the blood moon is near, we'll go for the Beta, if we kill Atlas it would do considerable damage.” The man explained.

Seris could not believe her ears, the Young Alpha's sister wants him dead?

Who the hell would want to kill their own flesh and blood.

“If Atlas dies, he would lose his sense and then we'll strike! Atlas is his best friend, after all. “ The man said.

“What do I need to do?” Camelia asked.

“Go to your room and wait for my signal, hurry. Babe, it's time for us to take what's rightfully ours.” He said as he kissed her and they both left.

Seris came out of the bed, shaking life a leaf. What the hell!

Atlas, she must protect poor Atlas, but first Sequoia, Sequoia has to help her.

Carrying her cleaning gear, Seris walked out of the room hurriedly, it looked like the moon was in her favour as she saw Sequoia.

She rushed to Sequoia, almost collapsing in her hand.

“Seris you look so pale what is wrong.....”

Seris tried her best to look normal to the other maids as not to draw attention.

She whispered to Sequoia to find the lady Camelia's room and lock it.

“Are you mad! Why?” Sequoia half screamed in her face, pretending that they were excited to finish their respective jobs.

“Treason! Waste no time, be discreet, hurry!” Seris whispered fiercely at Sequoia, whose face became pale.

Seris walked as fast as she could as she located the pathway to the training grounds.

The palace was huge, too huge if you ask her, it's no wonder why an evil plan is going so unnoticed.

Seris began a full sprint as she felt a burst of energy, she had to save the poor Beta.

She finally sees the training ground in sight and as predicted she sees a man on the field alone.

She rushed over to him, panting.

“Thank the moon you are safe!” She wheezed out.

She looked around and there were no signs of danger, lurking just a peaceful night, it's no wonder he would have died.

“You must be Young Beta Atlas!” She said as she bowed.

“Young Beta, there is a plan to kill you! The Young Alpha's sister Camelia and her Lover wants you dead in other to weaken the Young Alpha's line.” Seris wheezed out as she ran over to the weaponry close by and picked a shield and a sword.

During this time, Beta's are weaker than normal, while the Alpha's are stronger than usual, part of the ritual during the blood moon.

“Protect yourself Beta, and I'll protect you, I am the best warrior from....."

An arrow flew in his direction as she cut it.

“Beta they are here!” Seris said worriedly. She saw about 20 armoured rebels running towards her.

She immediately tears her gown to enable her to move freely.

The fight broke out, remembering all her skills that have not rusted one bit, defending fearlessly as she killed the rebels mercilessly.

The moon shined brightly as chaos happened underneath her.

Seris caught one rebel charging toward Beta Atlas, as she caught him and sliced his throat ruthlessly.

She rolled her eyes as she had unleashed her beast that she thought she had killed.

She looked like a mad woman at that moment, covered in blood and smirking.

Rebels fell at her feet as she turned to the Beta, who looked at her unfazed.

“Young Beta, you good?” Seris said as she doubled checked for injuries.

“This battle is not half done yet” The unbothered Beta finally spoke.

“Fuck." Seris cussed as an arrow almost pierced the Beta but was caught by her in her hands.

“You all really want to die badly?” Seris said as she charged at them now smiling like a maniac.
