Lily’s pov~
The wooden door leading into the office where Alice was last seen judged me as I knocked twice on it. I couldn't deny my rising urge to know what was left of her. Is she dead? How on earth did she end up in a fish’s belly? So many questions pulled me further in. “Dr. Wolfe?” I called, peering my head in as I pushed the door open. I knew if I called attention to myself I'd probably be the next one. I pushed my fear aside and entered his office. It still had the last owner's things in the corner, his office hadn't been arranged and books were everywhere. He was sitting in front of his window, the wind blowing in his face as he held a psychology textbook. “Dr. Wolfe?” I called again. He closed the book in his hand, but he didn't face me, no, not immediately. My heart raced as I gulped back my fears. A question forever lingered in my mind: does Dr. Wolfe know? That I saw him fuck the lights out of Alice Winters. There was something gentle in the way he teased me with a smile as he turned his chair toward me. “If it isn't the daydreamer,” he said with a warm smile before setting the book on his desk. “Hi, Dr. Wolfe. You asked to see me after class,” I replied in a low tone, knowingly avoiding his gaze. What if he knows? “Do you think about me a lot?” he asked. My ears stood on alert, and I turned away from him. As I stood there motionless, I saw him get up from the corner of my eye. He approached me, and his scent swept the entire room instantly. How did I not notice that scent before? It was the same perfume, mixed with the scent of raw, passionate sex. It was strong and masculine, and something about it left me weak in his mighty presence. With each step he took towards me, I got weaker and weaker until I was leaning on the wall of his office; the books I held in front of me were my guard against the elegance of his roughened chest. “I’m sorry I’m... Im just a little carried away…” “Do you think of me often?” He asked with a devious smile, and my hands trembled as I looked up at him. His eyes were stunning up close, but they scared me. I wondered if they devoured Alice up until her last moments. I wanted to know what it felt like…. My heartbeat quickened as he moved closer and closer to me until the books were all that stood between us. “Tell me, Lily Martins, what goes on in that pretty little head of yours?” he asked again. My lips trembled; no answer came from my strung-up lips. “I…i… I don’t…” I started, my words quivering in defeat. Will he kill me, too? “You don't what, Lily Martins?” he asked, touching my cheek lightly. “I've heard the rumours. I'm the hottest professor in the school. Is that why you can't stop thinking about me, Lily?” he asked boldly. Shit! What do I say? How can I defend myself? I started to breathe faster and faster, but I couldn't deny it intrigued me; I wanted to know what it felt like to be touched by him. He traced his finger around my lips and a smile curved around his face, it was wicked, but I liked it. “Is this what you want me to do to you Lily?” he asked, I looked away but he turned my chin back to him. “Look at me when I talk to you,” he said sternly, “y…..yes,” I stuttered in captivating fear. “Yes Professor, say it” he instructed, his finger still clung to my lips, “y..yes professor” I whispered. He reached around my neck, his hot raspy breath on me, his musk swallowed me up and I couldn't breathe, I didnt want to breathe air that wasnt him. I closed my eyes and drew in a breath, “Lily…” he called out, his fingers sliding down my soft throbbing chest down to my breasts and then further and further until they reached my thigh. My skin weakened beneath his touch, I closed my eyes, waiting for his lips to follow suit, just like they did with Alice Winters. Snap! He pushed me away, and I stumbled away from him until I found my footing. He laughed before turning to walk back to his desk. What just happened? How could he tease me like that and walk away? I should be the one running away from him. Why did he push me away? “If you keep up with your daydreams, you are most likely to fail the entire semester Miss Martins” he continued. Then I found my voice, I dont know if it was rage from this upsetting mood he just put me into, but I won't have him treat me like his toy. “I dont appreciate being treated this way, Dr Wolfe, it was inappropriate and as a professor, I don't think you….” He turned and stood looking at me, his gaze intense as he clenched his jaw and then his fist. He started towards me, grabbed me and turned my back against the wall, his lips were close to my ears. “Now you want to be feisty?” He asked in a sultry tone. The edge of his lips touched my ear, and I could suddenly feel this crushing sensation of being pinned down on his desk just like Alice was. My eyes darted across the room in fear seeking for anything to defend myself with, as much as I was curious to know what happened to Alice I wasnt ready to join her. “I don't need your excuses, Miss Martins. Find a way to get me out of your head and focus on class. I don't give second chances,” he finished. Ashamed, I wiggled free from him and turned to run towards the door when he suddenly grabbed me and pinned me against the wall. This time he said nothing, he just stared at me then suddenly the door swung open. Another student came in, she gasped in shock after witnessing the compromising position we were in. Shit! I need to get out of here. Dr. Wolfe wasn't pleased by her entrance. He let me go, and soon I had bolted out of there. I bumped into someone; my books dropped to the ground as I breathed heavily. I looked up, and it was Jason Carmicheal, Alice’s boyfriend. He grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me up. “I just saw you come out from Dr. Wolfe’s office,” he started in an angry tone. I pulled myself free from him and remained silent even though my heart raced like crazy, I kept my cool. “Tell me, are you in on it? Now that Alice is gone you have Dr Wolfe all to yourself dont you” he continued to ask. I picked my books from the ground quietly “I heard you were roaming the halls last night, and that last time Alice was seen,” he stated before grabbing my arm. I slapped him hard across the face. “You are crazy! Get away from me!” I ran, but I knew it wasn't over. Now that Jason was out, danger was brewing, and I'd plunged myself headfirst into a pile of shit with no way out. “When I find out you had something to do with her disappearance, I'll kill you myself, Lily Martins!” What have I gotten myself into? But still, I couldn't believe what just happened in his office. Who was the girl who just walked in…. I'd never seen her before, could she be his next victim? Dr Wolfe’s pov~ “Did everything go as planned?” I asked, sitting at my desk; She gave a small nod and walked towards me. “You killed her? You were supposed to find out if she’s the one! You are moving too dangerously, Dad…..” Her presence irritated me, and knowing she was the cause of my problems, made it worse. “Here I am Dr. Wolfe, and you will refer to me as such. No one needs to know about our past relationship, understood!” I growled, turning away from her before picking up my book. “Fine, who was that girl? Is she the one we are looking for?” she asked again. “I don't know yet, but I'll find out.” Ashley left and I turned back to my thoughts. Since my entire existence was built on a game of chance, well then welcome player 2. Let the games begin, Dante Sorrano. The scared image of Lily echoed through my mind. Soon, I'll know who you are, Lily Martins, and why you are so afraid of me.Lily’s pov~The wooden door leading into the office where Alice was last seen judged me as I knocked twice on it.I couldn't deny my rising urge to know what was left of her. DR. WoLFE’s pov~“Since I've been exiled, you are second in line for succession; why don't we make it a reality? Rather waste away as a whore’s big daddy,” he started moving around the dimly lit cabin, scratching his nails on my table.Even the hanging corpse of the deer on the wall mocked me as he smirked in my face.Dante is never good news; I should have known better, but his words soothed me.“Antonio doesn't seem to know what he is doing anymore. Our father would roll in his grave if he knew he gave that territory to the Armadillo Gang,” he said softly, walking behind me as he spoke. With anger in my voice, I replied, “He is weak; the death of his son weakened him.” I continued to sneer in disgust. “You are one to speak, Dante; you did nothing when they killed Aileen, and now your brother wants to hand my inheritance to Marco just like that.” I swung a knife at him, and he ducked.“I don't want anything from you, Dante. Get out before I end you where you stand. Don't forget who

I put my textbooks inside, and stress filled my body.“What's going on with you? You’ve been acting weird since you came back last night,” she asked, moving closer.“I thought you were asleep. LILY’S POV~ That day it happened, I wasn't meant to be on campus; I should have left for the holiday break. It was one of those days fate catches you on your ass. Stay with me now; I'm getting to it. When I finally got home for the entire week’s break, Mom had bored me endlessly about the hot new neighbor who moved in a few days ago. She and the other cougars in town have been having a field day since he arrived. “Oh, Lily, he is just gorgeous!” My mom exclaimed with excitement. "I don't know how your live-in boyfriend would feel about this," I stated, and she laughed it off. I rolled my eyes and sighed, “I've been here for a whole week, and I still haven't seen this person. Oh my God, Mom! Aren't you making all this up?” My mom laughed and passed me a toast. “You’ll see him soon. Mrs. Derry said he got a new job or something,” she chuckled. “She said he is mysterious; I know because he lives just opposite us.” I was now curious, really wanting to see this strange, myster
