Chapter 39

The smell of cinnamon bread lingers in the air as it reaches Aesthelia's nostrils. When Aesthelia identified the bread, she almost immediately rose from the bed she was laying on. 

That was one of her favorites. So she sat up straight, even though she hadn't flitted her eyes open.

"Cinnamon... bread," Aesthelia said in a high-pitched tone, but her words trailed off.

Aesthelia's heart almost dropped when she saw Gior sitting in front of her. Gior was comfortable sitting at the table located on the open balcony. 

Gior sipped his drink while looking at Aesthelia's path. I was wondering if this was her sleeping habit.

"Cute," Gior mumbled.

Aesthelia immediately scanned herself. Aesthelia has been wondering why she is in bed right now when the last thing that she remembered was that they were on their way to the capital's market. 

"What happened?" Aesthelia squinted her eyes at Gior's approach. Aesthelis didn't bother hiding
