“Christopher, please pull over. You need to calm down,” Palmer pleaded, touching his arm to make him pay attention to her, but he was focusing on the road.
“I want to get home,” he replied before the silence took over the car for the rest of the ride. Palmer didn’t say another word and looked out the window, trying to calm herself down after the fight between him and Hunter earlier.
They arrived at his house, and he opened the door, heading towards the barn without waiting for Palmer. She looked at him from inside the car, knowing he needed space while she tried to make sense of what went down in town. After a few minutes, she got out and headed to the barn to check on him.
