Start Of Something Beautiful

Raven and Caleb kept on chatting and they wasted a lot of time in the restaurant. They had so many similarities apart from the fact that they were both hardcore followers of past philosophers. This was the first time Raven had been comfortable with someone that wasn't her parents, and the crazy fact is that she just met him today and it seems as though they were soul mates and long lost life partners. They exchanged numbers in the restaurant so that they could text each other, Raven looked at her cell phone and the time was about 4:30 pm. " Ohhh shit, I need to get home now because my mum will be worried because this is my first time in this school and I told her that today's lectures was meant to end by 2 pm and I would be home by 2:30 pm. I am two hours past that time already and I'm sure she must have called my dad to tell him that I wasn't back home yet. They might think that I got lost on my way back home" Raven complained to Caleb. " Yeah sure I fully understand, I think we won't need to walk home. We can just get a cab to speed things up" Caleb replied. They both got up from the table and Caleb dropped three hundred dollar notes on the table as they left the restaurant.

       " Was the food really worth 300 dollars?" Raven asked Caleb. "it wasn't really the price, I paid for the food and then decided to leave the remaining as a tip for him, his service was quite wonderful" Caleb replied. " Isn't that being too extravagant? If I knew that the food was this expensive I wouldn't have followed you to the restaurant" Raven said to Caleb as she got quite angry at him. " Ohhh I'm sorry dear, well you are worth every penny I paid and even more that was why I wasn't phased by the bills" Caleb replied. That talk was enough to keep Raven shut as he ordered a cab for her right in front of the restaurant. " Please get in dear and I hope to see you in school tomorrow" he said to Raven as he opened the door of the taxi so she could get in and he closed the door gently as she got inside the cab. The cab started moving and Caleb kept on waving until the cab took a turn. Caleb's phone suddenly rang and he saw it was a text message from Raven, he quickly opened the text message and he saw " Thanks a lot for today Derry, it was indeed a beautiful day and I am looking forward to seeing you tomorrow" and she ended it all with a love emoji. Caleb blushed immediately he read the text and he left the restaurant smiling. While in the restaurant, Raven already sent a message to her mum telling her not worry because she was already on her way home. 

        When Raven finally got home, her mum Patricia was glad to see her and she asked " baby where have you been all this while? I was damn worried about you, I thought you got lost or something" 

         "I'm sorry mum, I was done with lectures around 2 pm but I met a new friend and he decided to take me out, I have been with him all this while until I remembered that I had to get home before 2:30 pm but when I checked the time, it was already 4:30 pm. I am really sorry mum that I kept you worried, I hope you didn't call Dad to tell him that I wasn't yet back home because that would really distract him from work?" Raven said to Patricia. 

        "Wow really? You met a new friend and he's a guy? Wow baby I'm so proud of you. You are finally socializing just like a normal teenage girl should. Well I was going to call your dad because I was so worried but as soon as I got your text I was relaxed and I didn't call him anymore. So tell me, is this new friend of yours hot?" Patricia became quite inquisitive and the whole ordeal got to Raven and she started blushing.

    " Common mum, you having this talk with me is really weird. But he looks too good though and he has this crazy physique and he is a very hairy boy. He really knows how to treat a lady, he's quite a gentleman mum" Raven replied to Patricia. 

     "I am just glad you're finally coming out of your she'll, I have been waiting for this time to come all my life. I guess you're full from the food you guys ate or would you still care for some cake?" Patricia asked. 

       " Ohhh no thanks I'm perfectly fine" Raven said to Patricia as she was walking up the stairs straight to her room. When she got to her room, she took out her phone from her backpack and she threw the backpack away. She quickly sent Caleb a text message " I am home safely already, thanks once more for today" and it took less than thurty seconds for Caleb to reply " you are welcome and I'm sorry if I made you spend some extra time with me. I hope mum wasn't that worried?"
