I drew the fire and had it circling us all, the flames were cutting into thin air and moving vigorously around the enemies. With one hand I raised a shield over Amber and Malia and urged Alex to get himself and his mate behind it. But he was hurt, Alex was still bleeding and his face had turned pale and his lips were blue.

Raven saw what I tried to do and with her speed, she grabbed Alex and placed him by his sister and then his mate.

I held up the shield but Nicholas looked awfully cocky. Something I didn't like.
