Chapter 14
Micky needs Alex's help, so he screams through the mindlink.
- Alex, get Kat out of here. – but Alex is busy ripping flesh off the wolves that are attacking him to get to Kat.
Micky's strength seems to be at an end and he lets Hell's Fangs out in his mouth. He was drunk on Kat's scent, and he was ready to be the man who was going to help her get over her hit, especially now, that in the confusion, Kat's dress had ripped and left her chest exposed to Micky.
Squeezing her in his arms, he brings his mouth to Kat's small, hard breast. He was no longer running, he was just looking at the spiky beak. But, when he is about to put the appetizing spout in his mouth, Alex's scent reaches his nostrils, mingling with Kat's, and he regains his reason.
