Chapter 7

When Micky wakes up he looks around confused. The last thing he remembers was being in the pub office. Had he got in the car and gone home?

He looks at the clock and is scandalized by himself. It was almost 10 am, and he always gets up at 5 am.

He gets out of bed, clutching his head, which hurts like hell. Go to the bathroom, lift the toilet lid and relieve his bladder.

Then he gets into the shower, washes himself and does all the other morning rituals.

After getting dressed, he leaves the room and slowly walks down the stairs, towards the kitchen.

He enters the empty kitchen, takes a cup of coffee, and, with the cup in his hand, opens the fridge.

- Looking for breakfast? – Alex asks, as he enters the kitchen and sits down on a bench.

- Ya. Overslept. I missed breakfast.

- You have a plate in the microwave. I had it saved for you.

Micky grins, opens the fridge and pulls out a plate full of scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon.
