Chapter 13 I Have No Interest in Zombies

When she woke up the next day, Jenna went downstairs nervously only to find Quinn Forester not around. However, his driver, Sam, was.

“Morning, Miss Radcliff,” Sam greeted Jenna. “Mr. Forester has instructed me to bring you shopping for some clothes later.”

“Alright.” Jenna nodded, internally puzzled.

If that man was not interested in her body, why was he treating her so well?

After having her breakfast, Sam drove Jenna to the biggest shopping mall in the city.

He told Jenna to go ahead and start shopping while he went to look for parking.

Due to her grandmother’s death, Jenna was still a little dazed as she walked through the mall.

“Miss, these are all the latest styles. Feel free to try them on.” The sound of talking suddenly drifted into her ears, pulling Jenna back to her senses.

Only then did she realize she had walked into a luxury clothes store without knowing and was standing by a clothes rack.

Recalling that she had come out to buy clothes, she pulled herself together. Just as she was about to take a white lace dress from the rack, a hand cut in from the side and took the dress away.

That woman held it out to the person beside her like she was offering up a treasure with no remorse for having snatched the clothing out of someone’s hands.

“Yvonne, look at this one. It really suits you!”

Jenna turned her head abruptly to see a few women standing to the side, picking out clothes.

Yvonne, exuding a sense of luxury between the two women, was wearing a long dress from one of Dior’s latest releases while carrying a blue Hermes bag.

“Mm. That’s not bad.”

Yvonne was approving of her friend’s choice of dress when she sensed the fierce gaze on her. Turning her head, she saw Jenna standing not far away.

Her face was pale, and she did not seem mentally well.

After Jenna was bailed out of the police station, she secretly looked into that man and found he was a driver for someone else.

Unexpectedly, that driver was pretty capable, even rich enough that Jenna could shop in luxury stores.

At the thought of how Jenna ruined herself, Yvonne felt unbelievably happy as she smiled walking up to Jenna. “It’s such a coincidence to be able to meet you here, Jenna.”

Jenna glared at Yvonne with hatred, her nails digging into the palm of her hands.

She wished she could just kill Yvonne!

However, right now, she had nothing and had even just been mercilessly rejected by that man last night. She did not have the power to fight Yvonne.

At this, Jenna’s eyes darkened, and she turned to leave.

Seeing how downtrodden Jenna appeared yet would not relent, Yvonne blocked her way once again.

“Jenna, I know you’re mourning the loss of your grandmother. Here. There’s 50 thousand dollars in this card. Consider it charity from an ex-classmate.” She took out a card and shoved it at Jenna.

“Keep it for yourself to use!” Jenna slapped her hand away with force.

“Jenna.” Yvonne’s friend harrumphed. “Yvonne’s just giving you money because she’s worried you won’t be able to afford meals, yet you’re still giving her attitude?”

“Everyone knows you got a hotel room with some rando. Do you think companies would dare to employ you?”

“Oh, she doesn’t have to work at a company. With such a pretty face, all she needs to do is go to some bar, open her legs, and she’ll be able to get a good sum of money.”

“Haha! You’re so bad.”

Yvonne allowed her two friends to taunt Jenna as the corners of her lips curled.

Before, she could only stand by Jenna’s side like a minor character and watch as people fawned over Jenna, admiring her family background and everything she had.

Now, their roles had swapped!

Yvonne shoved the card at Jenna again as she said tenderly, “Stop being so proud, Jenna, and take the card. I don’t think your parents or grandmother, if they could know in the afterlife, would want to see you so disgraced.”

Jenna had been trying to hold it in all this while.

However, seeing Yvonne so arrogant and insulting her family, Jenna could no longer hold it in. She grabbed Yvonne’s collar, slapping her twice on either side of her face.

Each slap, one after another, was especially forceful.

Yvonne immediately felt the sting of pain on her face and wanted to push Jenna away, but Jenna grabbed her hand and slapped her even harder.

“What are you doing, Jenna?!” Yvonne’s two friends rushed up to help Yvonne.

Before they could, Jenna cast a cold gaze their way, which shocked them so badly that they froze on the spot.

This woman was really scary!

“I may have nothing, but I am still a Radcliff!” Jenna said as she slapped Yvonne. “As long as I am alive, I can always revive the Radcliff family. You, however… with your head-to-toe luxuriousness, will never be able to cover up that stink you brought with you from the countryside!”

The commotion from within the store was so big that it very quickly attracted the attention of passersby.

Yvonne, in full view of everyone, was slapped by Jenna to the point both her cheeks were red and swollen. No matter how she tried, she could not push Jenna away.

Only after three minutes of slapping did Jenna stop and look coldly at Yvonne. “Yvonne, the person who should be afraid now is you. I’ll get you back for my grandmother’s life eventually!”

The hatred in Jenna’s eyes made Yvonne shiver, and tendrils of fear arose in her eyes.

There was no way!

The Radcliffs were gone. How could she recover from that?

At this, Yvonne was no longer scared. She raised her hand, intending to slap Jenna back, but a hand cut in from the side and grabbed her wrist, flinging it away viciously.

“Ah!” Yvonne fell to the ground and could not help but cry out in pain.
