Chapter 7 The Radcliffs and Her, Both Ruined

Soon, Yvonne came out of the house. “Baby, you came out to play right after waking up this morning. Do you not want breakfast?”

“Mommy!” The little boy immediately dropped the wooden horse, flew into Yvonne’s arms, and was picked up by her. “Daddy said he would tell me a story last night, but he left right after dinner.”

“When Mommy gets to the office, I’ll get Daddy to video call you and apologize to you, okay?”

“Okay!”

Jenna walked stiffly forward and moved closer to Yvonne, step by step. Her face pale beyond belief. “Y-you…”

This little boy looked at least three years old!

Yvonne looked back as she held the child. After seeing Jenna, a flash of panic crossed her face. “Jenna, w-what are you doing here?”

She turned around with the child in her arms and ran toward the house with hurried steps.

Jenna caught up to her with just a few steps and grabbed Yvonne by the hair, giving her a fierce slap.

“Yvonne, why did you do this to me? You came from the countryside. I was the one who sponsored the money to finance your higher education and let you join Seabright. I bought you a house, yet you caused me to lose everything!”

At first, she thought Shawn and Yvonne had not been together for long. Who would have expected their child to be so old?

It turned out she really was stupid.

She had already been jointly betrayed by the two people she loved most years ago, stabbing her in the heart and twisting the knife!

Jenna’s eyes filled with hatred and gripped Yvonne’s hair to slap her again. Try as they might, the helpers could not pull them apart.

A hand thrusted in, grabbing Jenna's hair and yanking her away. This caused Jenna to fall heavily on the floor and almost suffocate from the pain.

Jenna lifted her gaze and saw Shawn standing before her, looking indifferent. “Jenna, why are you barging in here all mad?”

“Why?” Jenna got up from the ground and stared fixedly at the man she had loved for more than a decade. “When your parents died, my father took you into our home and cared for you! My father gave you everything we had. Why did you kill them?!”

Shawn's expression darkened.

He had instructed Yvonne to handle this matter so no third person would know. How did Jenna find out about it?

Jenna walked up to Shawn and looked at him, her every word acerbic. “Why, Shawn, did you go out of your way to frame me and deliver me to another man's bed?”

“It’s precisely because I wanted to ruin the Radcliffs and also you!” Shawn's eyes were cold.

“Seabright is not your father's. Thirty years ago, your father and mine worked together to establish Seabright. The largest shareholder was my father. Yours had no real power in Seabright and was discontented. The company had just gone public when my family was murdered. I only just managed to escape because I stayed overnight at my classmate's house.”

“That’s nonsense! It’s all lies!” Jenna shook her head, not believing this so-called truth. “Dad treated you like you were his own son, gave you everything we had, and even let us get married!”

“That was because he felt guilty. He didn’t exactly take me in out of the kindness of his own heart.” He leaned down to look at Jenna, his eyes sinister and filled with hatred. “He wanted to become my guardian so he could get his hands on that portion of Seabright shares my father held!”

At first, he did not know all this, but then he met a man with a disfigured face, who said he had escaped from that fire and told him the truth of the matter.

No wonder Mr. Radcliff was so nice to him. It was because of guilt!

Shawn looked at Jenna's pale yet stubborn little face and could not help but feel annoyed. He grabbed her hair, pulled open the door, and threw her out.

“Jenna, this is the last time,” He warned. “The next time I see you, I won't be so polite!”

Watching the door close, Jenna felt completely hopeless.

Never in her wildest dreams had she expected that the man she had loved for more than a decade, and who she had thought was an angel sent to her from heaven, was actually a vengeful devil.

He had ruined the Radcliffs and also ruined her.

Jenna walked along the street, feeling confused. Just as she was about to cross the street, a car with its headlights on suddenly accelerated and charged straight toward her.

Blinded by the light, she closed her eyes instinctively. Suddenly, her heart calmed down, and she stood still.

She had nothing left.

Why not just die like this?

It would be pretty good.
