Chapter fifteen

Emily's POV

As soon as I get into the house, I find the house empty much to my relief. I walk towards the stairs, making my way up to my room.

Upon getting to my room, I hang my backpack on the bag rack by the door, something I never noticed until yesterday. I walk up to my bed and sit on it as I bend over to remove my boots.

After that, I pull off my clothes and rush straight to the bathroom. I turn on the shower and stand underneath it, shaking slightly as the warm water pours down my body, washing away all the dirt and sweat from my body.

I also take my time to wash my hair while at it and then when I'm done, I come out with a towel wrapped around my body.

Feeling all fresh and clean, I make my way to my bedroom and blow-dry my hair, packing it in a messy bun before putting on my clothes and making my way downstairs to the kitchen. I pull the fridge open to find some leftover Cheesecake with a white paper card taped to it which has 'KYLE'S,DO NOT TOUCH' boldly written on it.
