Emily's POVI turn around to see Tyler coming towards us with a few bottles of beer and about a dozen or two of plastic cups in his hand. His gaze meets mine but he doesn't say anything as he walks past us to the group and hands the cups and bottles to Asher who then sets them down on the table. Emily's POVWhen we get to the car,he pulls the passenger's door open and slams the door shut as soon as he sets me down and makes his way over to the driver's side. I try to push the door open but find out it's on automatic lock. Emily's POVI quickly finish up my food and clear my plates in the kitchen. I wash off the dishes and tidy up the mess Tyler made before going back to the living room.The rest of the night goes by fast. I turn off the Tv once my eyes start to feel heavy and make my way up to the room to find Tyler already fast asleep.I sigh and lie down on my bed, turning off my bedside lamp before closing my eyes shut and drifting off to sleep.The following morning, I wake up to my alarm going off and I pull my eyes open and climb off the bed tiredly. Emily's POVOut of boredom, I decide to take a short nap and by the time I wake up it's already 9:30 pm. I go downstairs to check for Tyler but he still hasn't returned. As if having heard my thoughts,the door comes open a few minutes later and Tyler walks in with a bruised face and his knuckles are extremely sore."Are you okay?" Emily's POVThe ride home is spent in a comfortable silence with Tyler driving slower than usual much to my preference. He winds up the window and turns the AC on full blast but that doesn't stop me as I look out the window, watching as the busy streets form into a blur of several buildings and passers by going on their day activities.I rub my hands together, feeling the cold air from the air con envelope my body as we drive down the road."Are you cold?" Tyler asks as he takes his eyes off the road for a split second to look at me with concern and I nod. I ask as I run down the stairs in hurry over to where Tyler is standing, skipping through the pieces of broken glass scattered around the floor."Are you okay?" I ask with concern as I get to him. I can tell that he's drunk from the stench of alcohol oozing off him and I forcibly take the bottle of beer from him and set it down on the table despite him obliging.
