CHAPTER 9

"What the hell do you want?" I asked him as I sat on the chair in front of him. My eyes is automatically burning in fire now

"You?" His eyes widened in shock when he realized that it was me. I just rolled my eyes. "I didn't know that you own this restaurant," he said in awe as he roam his eyes in the whole place.

"Now that you already knew that I own it, does my restaurant has something to do with you?" With his mere presence here, my blood starts to boil again. This guy went near me, bent a little and leveled his head on the side of my ear and whispered something.

"Relax there, woman," then he smirked at me and seriously, I wanna punch that smirk on his face.

"Kyaaaaah!" I heard the screams of the customers. "The news is really legit."

"They're a good match."

"They look so lovely together."

I want to puke because of what I'm hearing. They thought Axis is doing a sweet gesture towards me. They didn't know that we're just exchanging rants here against each other. Minutes later, I just heard a flash coming from different cellphones and cameras. People are now taking us photos. What the hell?

Axis immediately pulled me up and brought me at the back of the restaurant to avoid those people. For sure, they will attack us again once those pictures will circulate on different social media platforms. Tss.

I violently remove my hand from him when we got out.

"You stupid idiot! I am telling you, fix the mess you did as soon as possible!" I growled at him, breathing hard.

"Why fake news is so big deal to you?" I exhaled a large amount of air because I was so annoyed of his question. He's asking me that, really?

"Because that news could ruin my own life and my privacy!" I shouted at him. "Listen okay? Tomorrow morning, I will schedule a live interview with you and let's tell everyone that what they thought about us is just a fake news and nothing more. You understand?" I gave a long explanation but he did not answer. He was just looking straight at me.

"Would you please answer me?"

"Yes ma'am," he laughingly answered with a hint of tease in his tone. Even though I wanted to shout at him again, I just restrained myself.

Eventually, I breathe loosely. At least we will be able to clean this mess tomorrow. What a relief.

We were about to go back inside the restaurant when I noticed Aishi leaning on the door. Then she came near us, walking step by step like a kid while flashing a grin on her lips.

"I guess you're too late guys." She stated when she finally stood in front of us, still grinning victoriously while waving her phone in front of us.

My forehead furrowed. "What do you mean?"

"Look at this," she handed me her phone and then she played a live interview. The moment I saw them on the screen, my eyes widened and I tightened my grip on her phone while watching them on that video.

I curled my hand into a fist and just felt my blood runs upward my face in extreme frustration. Why on the gorgeous earth could this thing happen? Why now?

"So, the news about your son and your daughter is really true?" the host asked them.

"I guess so. It's just that, they don't want to admit it yet. My daughter Yasha keeps on telling us that it's just a fake news."

"Hahaha. That's what my son Axis told me, too."

"Let's just understand them and have enough patience to wait until they say so. You know, generation nowadays."

"Hahaha. I think so, too. Well, they really look good as a couple."

"Absolutely they are. I am really glad that my son's fiancee is the daughter of my college friends. Could it be a small world for them?"

"Hahaha. Maybe? Or it's just what their fate wants for them. That their fate wants them to be together," then that interview was followed by their laughter.

After watching that, I closed my eyes tightly to prevent the annoyance forming throughout my system.

Why? My mom and dad just had a live interview! What's more annoying is that it's not just the two of them. They are with Aunt Ally and Uncle Fordee, Axis' parents.

"Why do they need to show up on television screen?" I gripped the phone tightly and angrily kicked the empty bottle that was scattered in front of me.

I really want to hit someone right now. Darn!

"Relax Yash," Aishi tried to calm me down.

"How can I relax myself? You see, we're about to clean the mess, but why do they need to meddle with it?!" I growled. I really can’t stop the frustration I feel.

Mommy, Daddy! Argh!
