Chapter 4

Leon POV

Fuck! Every bone in my body screamed for me to run, but I didn't dare move as I knew my mother's life was literally in that devil's hands now and if I ever want to see her again, I would need to find out just what that relic or whatever secret weapon the Crescent have is.

And I would have to do that by becoming close to the enemy's true alpha heir.

“Well this should be quite fun huh,” I let out a dry cough, trying to hide the pain in my eyes.

“Hey, you, Leon Darkwood?” a thick voice called, snapping me out of my thoughts. I shifted my gaze, and it fell on a tall, fairly muscular guy with brown hair and eyes.

“Yes, I am, and who are you?” I asked, my tone firm as I could tell from his uniform he was a student, meaning he was also an alpha, and it was time for me to begin my act.

“I'm Ryker, Ryker Silver fang,” he said, with a smile that seemed almost deeming as he stared at me, “I'm sure you must have heard of me at least once.”

I couldn't help but thank my mother for almost all those gruesome teachings she had put me through, earning the names of all other clans' heirs.

I stared at him, my eyes gauging his entire build, so he's the Ryker Silver Fang, the one they call the chief of rebellion.

Guess they threw him in here, to teach him a lesson, huh.

“And why is the heir to the Silver fangs out here?” I asked, my tone indifferent, with no hint of warmth. I best try to avoid friends for now, especially seeing Leon had the vibe and rumours of being an icy, heartless and detached Alpha, the best of his kind.

“To escort your highness of course,” he said with a smirk with his head titled, and his voice laced with pure sarcasm, “I was asked by the dean to escort my roommate who decided to arrive a whole week after the academy had begun.”

Wait? This wasn't the first day? Why did that bastard of a Father not say anything? Well, he barely did say anything that could help me in here anyway.

“Okay,” I responded with a flat tone.

“Well then, shall we,” he said, his smirk still on as he showed me to the gates.

I walked right past him, making my way through the gates and sinking in the new air, which was now filled with the choking scents of Alpha's.

A heavy churn on my stomach as we moved in even further, passing through the hallway, damn this, I really do need to take my dose before I start acting up again.

“So Leon, seeing you have missed a lot through this past week, it's my job as a member of the student head council and your roommate to show you around today.”

His last words, caught my mind and attention instantly, same room? With this talker here?

“You are my roommate?” I asked, my tone still blunt.

“Yes, I am and as much as it's obvious you don't seem to like the idea right now, nobody has a choice about this, so,” he paused, right in front of room 10, “this is our room,” he said with a smile as he opened the door right up.

The room exited the standard as it had everything in place, two separate spaces each with their window and every basic amenity needed.

And also it seemed my luggage had arrived earlier, seeing they were placed next to my side. Perfect now I can get my dose, well, that's if I can get him out of here for a bit.

A sudden ring caught both of our attention, it was his phone, he picked it up, “Yeah, what's the issue?” he said as he walked out.

Hmm, I wonder what's up, well, hopefully it gets him out of here for a bit. He soon walked back in, with his smile gone, seemed like something bad had come up.

“I will be out for an hour, as I am needed somewhere else right now, so do get adjusted, and feel at home,” he gestures around the room, “And when I get back, I will show you around the school, okay,” he said with his smile back on, dashing right out without waiting for a response.

Well, that certainly made this much easier for me, I shut the door and fell right into my bed space, taking in a deep air that choked with Alpha scent.

“Shit,” I chocked out, as I swiftly reached for my box and grabbed a single dose, I injected myself and soon the sir became much more bearable, “Hmm…ahhhh that's the stuff,” I muttered softly as I exhaled and flopped back onto my bed.

So this was it, my new life as some kind of spy huh, I'm sure mother most think I'm already entering some kind of new palace where I will be treated like someone king or something.

Well, as long as she is fine, then it's all good. I said to myself as I got right up and began my room set up, half an hour had passed, and I was done arranging, finding my case of suppressants in a place where no one would search.

“Hey, you ready, Leon,” A familiar voice echoed behind me, it was Ryker, I turned around and seemed like he settled whatever he needed to handle.

“Yes, I am,” I responded, as I picked up a jacket.

“Cool then, let's hit the road,” he said, gesturing I come out with him now.

And soon he began the tour, showing me around every part of the school, and damn was the academy wide as hell.

From the cafeteria, to the gym, unto the every sport section and even the rough field play out section, every single was wide and with top-notch equipment.

“Hey, is that the Leon Darkwood?” a tiny feminine voice said as we now walked through the class hallways.

“Omg guys, it is Leon Darkwood, I can't believe his actually around now,” another girl said, as they all began to squeak and gossip.

I stared at the girls, who are meant to become Luna's to their pack, jeez, can't believe they can be this chattering.

“Well you seem to be quite the celebrity truly huh, especially appearing on the day of the howl party, with this game you could totally apply for a spot as the student council,” Ryker said as he turned and smirked.

“I have no interest in stuff like that,” I stated firmly, as the last thing I need is everyone in my space, especially since I'm here as a spy.

“Hmm if you say so then,” he backed off, and we continued the tour, he was surprisingly chill and nice, and I was glad he was my roommate, not some self-centred alpha.

“And we are finally at the end, which is the Dean's office, also hope I did an amazing job, and I hope we both get along in this from now on,” he paused with his smile still fixed perfectly well as he reached for a handshake.

“Sure,” I responded, as I accepted his hands.

“Great,” he cheered, as he released his grip, “Now then the dean should be waiting and also remember, the party is by 9pm so do get back and return early, bye” he said, as he dashed off into thin air once again.

Party? Wait what part—

“You can come in Mr Leon,” A thick stoned cold voice called, cutting my thoughts off.
