LOGINOctavia's POV
Everything happened so fast. One minute we were driving out of the Beacham estate into the city. Next, we were already at the airport. A helicopter was waiting. Red Dragon and I boarded the helicopter without delay and flew away. All the security guards were left behind, probably to take a different route. Our flight was smooth. Soon, we headed toward a private island. The view from above was so green and beautiful. Slowly, we dropped lower, and the full picture came into view. It was a small island. The island was crawling with armed guards. A large mansion stood in the middle of the island, a golf field by the left wing, and a large flower garden by the right. I saw the swimming pool sprawling in front of the mansion. The helicopter descended slowly, sending leaves and dust swirling across the landing pad. Before the blades had even stopped spinning, dozens of armed guards had already formed a protective circle around it. The door was opened, and the Red Dragon alighted first. Together, all the bodyguards saluted him, and then two ladies came forward… My eyes drifted to the ladies… “My Lord…” they called in unison. One was a tall blonde, he had the prettiest smile I had ever seen. The other looked like a Latina, pretty face, dark hair, sexy blue eyes. They rushed to hug the Red Dragon. I watched. The pleasantry was short, or whatever they were up to… then, the Red Dragon turned back to the helicopter, facing me. He gave me his hand. “This is Octavia Beacham. She's going to be my guest from now on.” The ladies exchanged glances. The silence that followed sent a chill down my spine. I looked around; the faces were unmoved. The security guards gave no reaction, like they had become robots or didn't hear. Then the lady came forward, the one with blonde hair. Her gaze swept over me, as though weighing my worth. Then she turned to Red Dragon… “My Lord,” her face drained of colour. Sadness was evident in her eyes. “Have Mira and I not been able to satisfy your needs?” She asked gently, pouting her lips. The other lady stepped forward… “My Lord, Bianca and I can give you any entertainment you so desire. Must you bring another woman home?” She frowned disappointedly. I was flabbergasted. Did she just call me another of the Red Dragon's girls? I waited for the Red Dragon to clear the air. I waited for him to tell them… that I'm not a whore, that I'm just here running from my family. But he didn't. He cleared his throat… “Now listen, both of you. You do whatever I command without questions. I can bring or have as many women as I see fit. And that's not gonna be a problem for anyone. Do you understand?” There was silence. The ladies nodded. But I saw the pain festering in their eyes. When my eyes met the blonde girl's, her chin folded, her eyes cast a glare filled with contempt upon me, and my blood turned to ice. I swallowed nervously. I had just arrived, and I already made an enemy. It would seem trouble had a way of following me around. “Let's go inside.” Red Dragon said. He led the way, releasing my hand and letting me walk beside him, but Mira jumped me, pushing me off the path. Side by side, Mira and Bianca walked beside the Red Dragon, ...each held onto one of his arms, as if claiming their place while I trailed behind them. I sighed. We walked through the garden and then around the swimming pool. The island looked peaceful despite the heavy security. The mansion stood before us, white, elegant. The house was large, bigger than my father's mansion. The golden interior and ancient artifacts created a warm ambiance, bathing the sitting room with a rare taste of luxury and mystery. “Wow!” I exclaimed inwardly. I didn't know I had drawn attention until his voice called me back… “What do you think of my home, my darling Octavia?” My face snapped back to the Red Dragon and I smiled. “Your home is so beautiful, my Lord. I like the sword,” I said pointing at an ancient sword hung on the wall. All eyes turned. His laughter was immediate. “Aye… that's a very old sword. Do you wanna know the story behind it?” I nodded. My eyes shifted to the two ladies who had gone quiet, arms folded against their chest, but their eyes never left me for a second. When my gaze met with Bianca’s, darkness enveloped her eyes. Her expression hardened, daggers of disdain directed at me. Mira’s fists clenched, her fingers digging into her palms. “Krul??” The Red Dragon's voice cut across the room, easing my mind. A man came forward… “my Lord…” “Take Octavia. Show her to the room closest to mine. Make sure it suits her taste. She'll be staying close to me during her time here.” The man bowed and came to me. “This way my lady…” he took my hand gently. He was so gentle, like I mattered. I couldn't remember the last time I was treated like this. Like I had value. But as we turned to climb the stairs, I looked back to Bianca and Mira one final time…. The two women glanced at each other, and Bianca gnashed her teeth in fury.It was past 1am. The island had gone quiet as I lay on my bed thinking back into the evening when I had returned from the field. Red Dragon was standing in the middle of my room wearing nothing but a white towel around his waist. But I couldn't tell him about Mira and Bianca. "what happened? why are you wet?" he had asked. I lied. "I slipped into the water, my Lord. it's nothing serious." My eyes fixated on his broad and hairy chest, strong muscles, and fascinating abs. When I saw his build, I couldn't unsee it. Now hours had passed, and here I was, thinking about the hot body of the most powerful man in Valdoria. I couldn't help it. I couldn't sleep. Each time I closed my eyes, I pictured him standing there with that smile that made my heart dance. My mind drifted back to Bianca's words… I can't let myself admire the Red Dragon. “Stay focused, Octavia,” I said to myself. But each time I tried to act like I didn't care, a knot tightened in my chest. Maybe I should've to
My bedroom was spacious, with sparkling white walls, elegant curtains, and a bed fit for royalty. I changed into a light gown and stepped onto the balcony. The island stretched before me, peaceful beneath the evening sky. It was a beautiful sight. But I wanted to see more of it. I wanted to feed my curiosity, so I left my room and stepped into the garden. There he was. Red Dragon stood with two gigantic men who looked more like beasts than ordinary humans. I couldn't tell what they were discussing, but I didn't approach. I walked down the path that led to the bank of the ocean. The waves crashed gently against my feet as I stood at the shore, watching the evening sun in the distance. Then I heard footsteps from behind.I made a swift turn, and Bianca was approaching.“Look who it is. Octavia Beacham, heir to a very big empire in Valdoria.” I rolled my eyes.Bianca stepped into my face. “You could have anything in the world. Your father is a billionaire. But you chose to come here. I gasped. Sarah turned to the window too. The mansion gate opened, and I saw the convoy of black luxury SUVs with tinted glass all running into our compound. A biker in front of the vehicles carried the familiar banner, a black flag with a red dragon at the center. It's the one symbol all citizens of Valdoria recognized. The banner of RED DRAGON, the most powerful man in the country and beyond. He was the leader of the Durango Cartel and a godfather to almost every powerful man in the country today, including my dad.I couldn't believe my eyes. It had been 15 years since I last saw the Red Dragon in our house. My dad often said he owed everything to the mighty Mafia Lord who made him who he was today. And growing up, I admired the Red Dragon because of his influence and power. But when I was eighteen, my admiration became fantasies. I would spend time imagining being owned by a man like him. The thoughts embarrassed me. But with time, they faded with his long absence. And now, he
Octavia's POV “What in the name of God is happening here?” my father's rumbling voice echoed in the room. His face contorted with impending rage.Everything seemed to stop for a second. In all my 24 years on earth, I had never seen such anger in my parents. They had mocked my shape, insulted me publicly, and thrown me out to the wolves. But this was different. “Octavia,” my father growled, and I shrieked. Fear seized me. I didn't know where to start. As I exchanged glances between my mom and Dad, I began to cry. Then Sarah jumped in… “Mom, can you imagine? Octavia invited a mere security guard to her room to spend the night.”I froze. “No… no…” I cried. “I swear I didn't. I don't…”Before I finished, the man rose from the bed… “I'm so sorry, sir.” He said to my dad. “I tried to refuse. But Miss Octavia threatened to have me fired and make me unemployable in the city.” Lies… I snapped. I looked at the man, devastated. “You're lying!” There was silence in the room. He wouldn't meet m
Octavia’s POVFour weeks had passed. Just four weeks. It was astonishing how quickly a person's entire world could fall apart.Sarah had kept every promise she made that night and more… Night after night, I woke up to Jake fucking my sister, and during the day, they went about their lives as though nothing had happened.I got tired of crying. Sarah didn't need to hit me. She didn't need to threaten me. Her words alone were enough to make me feel smaller with each passing day.“Octavia!" Sarah's voice echoed through the mansion. My fingers froze around the cup of tea I was holding. She was calling me again."Did you suddenly become deaf?" she shouted. My heart pounded. Every beat filled me with dread over what humiliation awaited me this time.I quickly set the cup down and hurried downstairs.Sarah was sitting comfortably on the living room sofa and scrolling on her phone. Jake sat beside her, his attention fixed on the television.Neither of them looked surprised to see me."Finally,
