Chapter 13 – Mom, why are your eyes red?

Iris didn't spend much time in the office before it was lunchtime. In a sour mood, she didn't want to eat alone and decided to invite one of her closest friends to join her.

She ordered some food, but her mind was elsewhere as she stared off into space.

"Iris, you haven't touched your food," Chelsea said with concern. She had almost finished her own plate, but Iris hadn't even taken a bite.
