JETHRO POV
"Where do you think you are going to, my mate?" I questioned the young woman who was standing before me.
She was distrusted and it was all thanks to Elias. It was like she had seen a ghost. She saw someone more frightening than a ghost.
I moved away from the Beta, who was gasping for air, and walked to where she stood, covering up the distance between us. "Why are you silent?" I questioned and before I could catch on, she was falling to the ground with her eyes closed.
Oops.
I caught her before she fell to the ground and held her tightly in my arms. Before I walked away, I shot a glare at Elias and went back to my room.
She was still dressed in that freaking wedding gown I so much wanted to rip apart and turn into an unrecognizable shred before I shove it into the mouth of that man, Vincent, for daring to hurt my darling woman.
Although, I am grateful the darn wedding was over cause I planned on bargaining in and ruining everything, taking my princess with me, and running far away from everyone. She would be able to start a new life with me somewhere else and not in a city like this.
It would have made headlines in human newspapers and magazines, with the headline, 'A stranger kidnaps a woman on her wedding day, leaving her husband behind.' Not a strong headline if I make it in my head. Those humans are good at making things seem good.
I gently made her seat on the bed while my hand went to the gown zipper. I know I shouldn't be touching her that way but what can I do? I need to make her rest comfortably and besides, she is my mate.
As my finger touched her skin, I was instantly reminded of what happened last night. The sweet moment we had that I wouldn't want to forget in a moment.
The way her beautiful sounds made music in my ears that suddenly became my favorite music. The way her hands moved behind my back caused a part of me to tinge so tightly.
I went on to remove her wedding dress, leaving her in just her undies. It took me great control not to undress her completely. I covered her up and quickly walked out of the room, not disturbing her even the slightest.
"How dare you do that in front of my woman?" I questioned the fidgeting Beta as soon as I walked out of my room.
He opened his mouth to speak but no words came out of his mouth. I command fear and it gives me pleasure seeing how much fear I instill in people.
That's me, I am Jethro Wesley, the current Alpha of the lycan and werewolves.
I am a Lycan and by my age, I was able to accomplish what anyone could not even my father couldn't achieve. I was made the next Lycan's Alpha after he died and I have ruled for six years, since I was eighteen.
It became a hassle and a lot of talks from the elders to find a Luna so we could rule together. To me, I would have preferred ruling all alone without any Luna. I wasn't one to stick with a single lady. I just wanted to live my life as freely as I could without being tied down to commitments that have to do with marriage.
The elders were so adamant and wanted me to have a mate by all means hug the moon goddess was on my side as I got none for six years until I was twenty-four.
She suddenly turned away from me and gave me a better surprise. I finally got a mate but turns out she was a human.
Why a human for goodness sake? There are lots of powerful, smart werewolves around that could make up for my wife, but a human?
I decided to find her and reject her right away as that was the plan of the elders too. They finally gave up on the matter and wished I just picked any woman of my choice and made her my Luna.
Coming over to the human community, I was immediately attracted to this human. I don't know if it was the mate bond but I found myself wanting her. Wanting her to be my woman and belong to no one else. Wanting her to be my Luna.
For the past month, I have been stalking secretly without her taking any notice. She was getting prepared to marry her fiance and that got me going crazy.
How would another man be with my woman? that thought almost blinded me with anger. With each passing day, I wanted to take her away. Far away from her fiance and into my arms.
Her fiance made my work easy.
"Please forgive me, your majesty." He was on his knees begging but that wasn't enough to calm the raging anger in me. How dare he try to touch my woman. "She belongs to me and you try to claim her?"
He bowed until his forehead was touching the ground. "I apologize my lord. I thought you had rejected her."
I rolled my fist into a ball, wanting to punch it hard into his skull but I tried to keep it down. He might be a dick but he is one of my trusted Beta. He has been with me for four years and hasn't for once, fallen short of what he does.
"I never said I would reject my princess. She is mine alone." I snapped.
"I-i apologize." He pleaded again.
"You would apologize to her when she wakes up and make sure this never happens. You know why I am sparing you and so, you shouldn't use that as leverage to do whatever you please. It wouldn't take me a minute to rip your head out of your body."
He swallowed hard and nodded. "I understand sir."
A strong scent passed through my nose, almost ripping my heart out. A sweet, fruity scent that I wanted to myself. That I wanted to perceive every day. My sweet woman scent.
I turned and caught her staring at me in horror. "Who are you?" The words came out quick but her voice was laced with fear. Fear I love to hear and see.
I raised a corner of my lips and answered, "Your one and only mate and your nightmare."

Sara's P.O.V I hummed softly to myself as I cleaned Vincent's bedroom, my hands gliding easily across the surfaces. My eyes strayed to his dresser, toward that one drawer he'd always said not to touch. Curious, I wondered what could be so special in that one little drawer. "A surprise?" I asked innocently. My fingers found the handle and drew the drawer open in a second. Inside were heaps of photos. The first I picked was of a man crowned, an aura of melancholy diffused about him. A lot about him seemed so familiar, yet I just couldn't place who he was.I went onto the next picture couple embracing. The woman's face stirred something in my system. "Emma? Elias?" I blurred my head racing. Then, a sharp pain pierced my head, and pictures slipped from my hands as a groan escaped my lips.A voice reverberated inside my head, "I love you, and you are forever mine." But it wasn't Vincent's voice. There came confusion inside me. Picking up the coronation picture, the rise of tears was to be
Jethro's POV Three Months later…%.Three months had passed since that fateful day. I sat in my throne room, full of the grandeur of a restored kingdom but my heart was still shattered. Ryker's defeat and Tanisha's demise brought peace, but only Eldrid still stirred in my heart.Elias entered, his face solemn. "Your Highness," he greeted low. I did not even look up. "Did you find her?" I asked without any expectation of a different answer. The pause that followed was all the answer Elias needed. "Nein, Your Highness." I looked down, my eyes welling up hot. I had sent Elias to scour the ruins-to search every inch of the explosion site. But there was nothing. No sign of Sara. No indication of her fate.I clung to hope, tenuous as the thinnest of threads but refused to break. She may yet be alive. She must. Elias stepped near. His footsteps made quiet echoes in the still hall. "I have searched every possible place, Jethro," he said, using my name rather than my title. "I have interrogate
Jethro's P.O.V.I stormed down the corridors of Ryker's lair-my sword slicing through the shadows. Guards leaped to intercept me, but with rage fueling my movements, I cut them down with precision. Finally, I burst into Ryker's chamber, my eyes locking onto the man himself.Ryker stood calmly, an amused hint dancing on his lips."Where is Sara?" I yelled, my voice echoing off the stone walls. "Where are you keeping her?"Ryker's smile spread wider, but nothing fell from his lips. "Liar!" I spat, my hand tightening on my sword hilt. "I know you're behind this." Ryker somehow managed to lift an eyebrow. "Sara? Do you think I have Sara? You ought to know me by now, Jethro. If I had Sara, I'd leave a message. But I don't have Sara." Anger spilled over and I was yelling, "You're lying!Ryker's men drew their swords and, in the dim light of the room, angled them at me."Be careful, Jethro," Ryker said, his voice thick with malice. "You're on my turf, surrounded by my men. Your recklessne
Sara's POV I slowly opened my eyes, grogginess fogging my brain. Where was I? The air was heavy with darkness and an eerie silence.A faint splash sounded through the room followed by a cold trickle down my face. I jackknifed upwards, gasping.Someone was sitting beside me, swathed in shadows. My eyes slowly accommodated to the dim light and the outline of a woman appeared."Welcome back, Sara," she said, her voice oozing malice. The woman leaned forward, and a sliver of light danced across her features, revealing Tanisha's sinister smile."You must be wondering where you are," Tanisha said, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Let's just say you're guessing with me."Memories came flooding back to Emma's visit, the figure in black, the knock to the head. My mind reeled; fear clawed its way up my throat.Tanisha did not even bat an eye. "You see, Sara, you're quite valuable to me. Your. Particular talents could tip the scales in Ryker's favor."My heart plummeted. Emma's words replayed
