CH 11: Wanted to Kiss Him

Lizzy’s POV

Several old men and women stood in front of the elevator doors. The timing was terrible. Why did they have to stand there? I wished I could turn back time.

I wanted to kiss him.

We spontaneously stayed away and became misbehaviour. Then Jason took my hand and led me to his room.

When my feet stepped inside, I spontaneously walked closer to the large window that almost filled half of the room. The window overlooked the city, including the lake and the park. The night view was beautiful and made me feel melancholy.

“Please have a seat. The food will be here in a moment,” he said as he entered the bathroom.

“What did you bring me here for? I told you I’d be home soon, but you brought me here instead. It’s already past midnight,” I asked.

He came out of the bathroom while drying his wet face. “Can’t you see that your body is shaking from the cold? Even your palms are cold. Can’t you pay more attention to yourself? Look, you’re getting skinnier.”
