SORAYA’S POV

Reclined on his throne as if he owned the world, eyes trained on me like I was the only thing that existed in it. He didn’t make me wait.

As I approached the grand dais, Khai rose from his throne. His gaze, dark and hypnotic, locked onto mine.

Then, he extended a hand. Large. Calloused. Deadly. Hesitantly, I placed mine in his.

Then, in a move that drew every single eye in the room, he brought my hand to his lips, kissed the back of it softly, and before I could protest, he pulled me effortlessly onto his lap.

“You took your time,” he murmured just for me.

I stiffened.

The last time I’d been in this position with him- fuck. My body tensed, heart pounding, waiting for what had happened last time—when he’d shamelessly grinded against me in full view of his council.

But it never came.

Instead, he only adjusted me until I was sitting comfortably across his legs.

His arm wrapped firmly around my waist, resting with casual possession, fingers lazily stroking

SORAYA’S POV “Where the hell are you taking me? Let me go!” I screamed as my legs ached for relief. I was so exhausted, I didn’t think I could carry on like this anymore. My complaints were ignored—as usual. Khai was leading us up a very steep hill, Gael right behind me, still being held down by guards. When we were close enough, I leaned in and whispered, “Gael? How is your arm? Say something.” But he didn’t. He wouldn’t even look at me. He just kept glaring at the ground with a clenched jaw. Was he mad at me? And what was this truth Khai knew that I didn’t? Finally, we made it to the top of the hill. Despite the darkness and the thick forest that surrounded us, the world beneath us was clear from up here. I looked around, wondering what truth would be revealed to me up here. When my eyes met Khai’s, my heart plummeted. He was already looking at me. I hated the way he did that. A guard walked up to us, handing him a pair of binoculars. Khai closed the distance bet

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 44: KHAI’S RAGE

SORAYA’S POV At first, I wanted to believe I was dreaming. But as his silhouette grew more vivid, I knew this was it for us. As he stepped under the dim moonlight, I took a step back. His eyes were different. They looked like that of a beast—amber, pupils dilated and full of rage. He was shirtless, wearing nothing but a black pair of pants. Canines peeked out from his lips, ready to rip flesh apart, just like his elongated claws. One by one, wolves emerged from the darkness, encircling us. They drew closer by the second, just waiting for the order to tear us apart. When Khai’s ravenous gaze shifted to Gael, I instantly blocked him with my body. “Don’t hurt him. It’s not his fault. I—I’m the one that asked him to help me escape. If you must punish anyone, then punish me,” I said to Khai, but he didn’t even spare me a glance. The wolves around us shifted back to their human forms, and Khai gave nothing but a single nod. The next thing I knew, two men surged forward and g

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 43: THE BIG ESCAPE

SORAYA’S POV It was quiet. Too quiet. All I could hear was the hammering of my own heart as I stared at the clock hoisted up on my wall.Five minutes till midnight. My gaze shifted to the door joining Khai and I’s room. All of this could be ruined in an instant. If Khai walked through those doors at the wrong time, if he caught me in the act, or if I wasn’t far enough, then I was doomed. My eyelids pinched shut as I held my belly.Dear Goddess, please let this work out, I said internally.I looked at the clock again. Two minutes till midnight.I grabbed the cloak Gael had given me the other night and put it on. Taking a couple of deep breaths, I looked at the clock once again.A minute till midnight.Lifting my mattress, I took the necklace and placed it in the pocket of my cloak. Subconsciously, my attention returned to the conjoining door. There was this tug in my heart, a pull, a voice drawing me to that room. But I ignored it.Whatever this attraction to Khai was, it had to end

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 42: DEADLINE

SORAYA’S POV Khai did not come for dance practice today. It was just the six girls, Estella, and I.Surprisingly, the choreography was not as difficult as it was yesterday. It was a lot easier to perform, and my feet did not hurt as much. At this rate, we would be able to perfect the dance before the consummation feast. The very one I will not be attending.“Okay, girls. That will be enough for today. We will be adding a few moves to the choreography tomorrow,” she said, and we all nodded in agreement before fanning out one by one.My mind travelled back to the necklace Khai had given me as I made my way through the halls. I needed to get to the kitchen.I was craving something sweet today.I found myself feeling a twinge of jealousy as I wondered who it could have originally belonged to. He must have clearly gifted it to the woman. He must have held her in such high regard.“Why do you look pissed?”My attention shifted to Ellie as she joined me on my way down to the kitchen. As a

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 41: EVIL BITCH

SORAYA’S POV I woke up feeling groggy and nauseous. The urge to throw up was what forced me out of bed, but when my eyes were suddenly drawn to the door, all feelings of nausea vanished in an instant. “What the actual fuck?” I asked, a look of bewilderment striking my features. I placed a hand over my head as I stared at Khai, leaning against the doorway in absolute disbelief. He had this sly grin on his lips that suggested he was up to no good. Without needing to say a word, I knew exactly what he had in mind—especially with the way his eyes raked my body with that insatiable hunger. Suddenly, a burst of energy flowed through my veins. I didn’t know if it was the morning sickness or the frustration of having him in the room, knowing full well what he wanted—but I didn’t care. “Why do you always have to show up at the most unexpected times? For fuck’s sake, can’t I get a damn break? What pleasure do you even derive from constantly humiliating me? You know I can’t res

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 40: AN ESCAPE PLAN

SORAYA’S POV Her head snapped in all directions to make sure there was no one else in the room. Then she turned to me and leaned closer. “You mean escape? Like run away?” she whispered. I nodded. Her eyes widened. And just like that, the light in them vanished—replaced by fear. A dark one. “That is impossible. Even if anyone manages to get past the gates, Khai will find them,” Ellie said, her grip on my foot tightening. It was as though I had triggered some sort of trauma in her. “Then what the hell was all that crap in the pits the other day? About being free to walk out of his pack anytime we choose?” I asked. “We are not members of his pack, Soraya. We are his property. He owns us. Until he decides to willingly give you away, there is nothing you can do to escape him. If you tried to, that would be a slap to his face. An insult. And you’ve seen just a glimpse of what Khai does to those who insult him. He can do much worse,” she said, her voice growing shakier with eve
