SORAYA’S POV

This room was by far bigger than my last one.

It was one suited for a queen. The bed was large enough to fit five people comfortably. The sheets were silk.

The drapes were a fine wine color, adding to the eloquence of the room. There was a golden dresser by the edge of the room. A full-body mirror, a walk-in closet, a couch, and a fireplace.

I just could not understand it. Why would Khai do this for me?

I just cannot understand why he would treat me like a sex doll one moment, then like a princess he needs to pamper the next.

Was this part of the terms and conditions of our little agreement?

His room was right next to mine. There was a door connecting our two rooms—meaning he could walk in on me at any time.

Right now, as I lay in my dark room, I could not help but stare at the door, waiting for him to come in. But he never does.

I try to will myself to sleep, but every time I shut my eyes, his face comes to mind.

The last time I saw Khai was in that p

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 52: THE BIG NIGHT

KHAI’S POVTonight was the big night.I stood by the doorway of the grand hall wearing a maroon suit. I did not do much to my hair. Actually, I did nothing at all. I liked it being messy, a few strands falling above my eyes. The first few buttons of my inner white shirt were undone, leaving my bare chest on full display. It was such a shame these alphas did not come with their wives. I loved watching them gawk at my good looks while standing right beside their husbands. It was a real classic.I did not want to dress too fancy. Despite being the host, I did not want to stray far from what I stand for. I am the king of rogues, no fancy event was going to make me act like something I was not.As I stood by the entrance, I held a sly smirk on my lips as I greeted the arriving alphas. Ronan stood a couple of inches behind me, acting as my personal shield and bodyguard. I did not need him though, I was more than capable of protecting myself. But we never really do know what to expect

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 51: SHOWER WITH KHAI

SORAYA’S POV“Alright, ladies. That is enough practice for today. I believe we have made more than enough project these past few days, I am proud of all of you,” Estella said, smiling proudly at us all.As soon as those words left her lips, I collapsed dramatically to the floor. I am glad I am not the only one, because others did exactly the same thing. The past few days have been really tough. Estella has been working us like slaves. But none of us can deny that we were a lot better than when we started off. I actually can not believe how excited I am for this feast. I remember not wanting to attend and I still do not want to.It is called the “alpha’s” feast after all. It will be crawling with proud, narcissistic males. We will be asked to dance in front of them all, and no doubt their eyes would be feasting on our bodies like we were their favourite meal.I shuddered at the thought.Estella rolled her eyes at us. “You all are so weak and dramatic. Back in my day, my master wou

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 50: BLOOD FOR BLOOD

KHAI’S POVPetty ass bastard.I suppose he did not accept my gift with an open heart.Amidst the smoke and scent of burning flesh were the torn pieces of my pack members. I stood above the severed arm of a child, the rest of her body was discarded next to her burning home. She appeared to be around five years of age.Just a baby.My fists balled as I took in the damage done to this village. There were at least a hundred dead, ten injured. And this wasn’t the only village, they raided and destroyed three others, leaving the residents with an even worse fate.I turned to my beta, Ronan and said, “Keep searching for more survivors. Put out the fires. If there is a life that can still be saved, then do so.”When Ronan didn’t move, I turned to him fully, my brow raised. He exhaled loudly, a vein popping out of his temple. His frustration and rage were clear, but he knew better than to speak out of turn. But that did not stop him from voicing out his thoughts as gently as possible.“We have

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 49: THIS MEANS WAR

I stared into the eyes of my first love with a great ache in my chest. These past few weeks have been lonely. Incredibly lonely. As much as I hated to admit it, Soraya may not have been so useless after all. In a way she helped cope with the loss of her doppelganger. Ever since we started courting each other. She was always so warm and welcoming. She always got involved, made sure that I was okay, prepared some kind of dish to win my affection. She was always talking, even more so after we got married. She told me the most random things about her day in the bedroom, in my office, at the dinning hall, in the garden, wherever. She never actually did shut up.At the time I found it annoying, I saw her as a pest. But ever since she left there has been this silence, this... emptiness.I can not quite explain it. But one thing I did know was that I hated it.Whenever I found myself missing her, it enraged me even more. I was not supposed to miss her at all. She is supposed to be dead by now

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 48: DIE TRYING

SORAYA’S POV The tears wouldn’t stop. The more I cried, the worse the pain in my chest became. The events of this night were ones I would never forget. Not only had I been blinded by the illusion of possible freedom, but I also lost a man I was beginning to believe was my friend. I nearly got sent back to the hell I escaped from—and the husband that used me. And Khai… That was the worst part of the night. Why did him taking his mother’s necklace hurt so much? Maybe because he trusted me with something so dear to him, and I blatantly told him I was going to sell it. That was way too low, even for me. I had justified it by saying I needed the money for my child and myself, but surely there was a better way. I just didn’t look. I never should’ve run with it. Now, Khai will never forgive me. Could it be that he was starting to grow some affection for me? It was the only reasonable explanation. I know for a fact that he didn’t give out his mother’s things to just anyo

  • Pregnant And Claimed By The Wrong Alpha   CHAPTER 47: GET OUT NOW

KHAI’S POVMy claws attached to the bone, and with one harsh tug, I tore his head right off his shoulders. It dropped to the ground with a slushy sound, his eyes still open and plagued with fear. But it wasn’t enough. The guard standing by the door handed me a towel, which I used to clean the blood off my hands. Once that was done, I turned to him and said:“Find his mother and deliver his body to her. Then send his head to Ragnar—attach an invitation to the consummation feast to it. I would love to have a proper chat with my old friend.”The guard nodded. He opened the door for me quickly, his movements characterized by fear.I walked out of the dungeons with long, powerful strides. My subjects bowed to me with respect as I passed by, none daring to meet my eyes. But I could hear them—the building whispers at my back. The news had already gone viral. The troop of guards who had followed me in the dead of night had been a telltale. Some of the guards had spilled the secrets, so the
