FREYA“Thank you for coming to check on me, Joel.” I smiled up at Joel, my heart gladdened that he had come. I had been surprised when Mia announced that he was here to meet me. Somehow, Derek had reached out to him, and invited him to come check on me since Derek couldn't come himself. Derek had travelled to see his mother. Joel was to take me to see the divorce lawyer. FREYAI had so many words clogging my throat to scream at him. But all I could force out was “No. Hell no, Leo.” But Leo just gazed at me, his lips curled into a cold smile. He seemed more amused than anything else. It seemed, now that he had come to a decision, he didn't care anymore what I said or not. He was just a predator stalking its trapped prey. I tried to make his order make any sense, and it just didn't. “But you want Caroline. You wanted her to be your Luna. You wanted me gone. You will still be my wife, mine.” I turned my head away, and focused on keeping my emotions under control. Leo was only being possessive because of Derek, I assured myself.
