Mila's POV...

A text from Eliza was the highlight of my morning. It was heartbreaking when she didn't check up on me after my suspension and accident, but seeing her text asking for us to meet up over coffee, I felt relieved.

I knew there had to be an explanation for her ghosting me. I was so excited to see her again after so long, I couldn't wait a second longer for Zaden to get to the Cafe.

The past 24 hours have been a roller coaster of emotions. I definitely saw another side of Zaden that he graciously hid. The past 24 hours showed me that there's more to the arrogant billionaire CEO–Zaden Blackwell.

I was so glad we were both able to keep our act together during our stay, at least I know I kept to my side of the contract. Zaden assured me that he was still carrying out an investigation as to who framed me. I honestly couldn't wait until the culprit was caught. I need to get back into the workspace soon, and I need to keep my mind busy so that thoughts of Zaden don't occupy it.
