Chapter Fifty-Six.

"What are you doing here?" Majorie muttered beneath her breath as she brought the doors to close behind her. She fluttered her lashes in the shock while pushing Gerald backwards.

"Where is she?" His arms fell to his sides with determination and Majorie shook her head whilst gazing into his dark gloomy eyes. It was obvious he barely sobered up for the night, putting on navy-blue t shirt that at least showed his efforts to clean up nice.

It had many years since Majorie had seen him.

But she was not having it that night. She was not having him.

"You need to go" She whispered but Gerald only cemented his stance. The winds blew into her face, holding back the tears in her eyes. "I need to see her Maj" Gerald reached out to her frail hands but she immediately turned away.

"Leave!" There was a crack in Majorie's voice.

"Isabella doesn't need to see you right now" Her hands fell atop his hips as she heaved in a deep sigh. "I want you to go and never come back because that girl's lived the res
