2. The man i slept with is my step brother

"What have you done Serena," I muttered to myself as I recalled how we came into this room and what I had let myself do with a man I didn't know.

"I don't want to think about anything. Makes me forget. Kiss me," I said to the handsome stranger.

As I recalled the words i said to him, I couldn’t help but stare at him whilst he slept beside me and then at myself. I had sex with him. I shouldn't have. I didn’t know him and I left the pack house without anyone knowing where I was.

The thought of my stepmother looking for me snapped me back to reality. I have to leave and forget this ever happened and worse I had to get back to the pack house before my absence is noticed or I’d be in trouble.

"Where are you going?" I heard the voice of the stranger the minute I was done wearing my clothes and I froze.

"Leaving as you can see," I replied not turning to look at him because I don't want to ever see him.

"Alright then. How much do you charge for a night?" He asked and I scrunch my nose in disgust.

What does he take me for? A prostitute?

"You don't have to," I replied.

"And why is that? Do you sleep with men for free?" He asked and I clenched my fist at his stupid question.

But how could I blame him? I was the one who had made him think I was one. Instead of answering him and proving him wrong, I decided not to answer him as we will never cross paths again.

I picked up my stuff and left the room without turning to look back, wanting to forget today's memory.

“Where were you?” Anna, one of the pack maids and also a good friend of mine asked as soon as I stepped into my room.

I had sneaked my way back inside through the back door so as not to let anyone know I hadn’t slept at home last night.

“Your stepmother came looking for you twice and she said if she comes back, you better be in here. Where did you go to? I lied to her that you were in the bathroom,” she informed me and my heart skipped.

What does she want this time around and why was she looking for me? Did she notice that I was gone?

The door to my room burst open. My stepmother walked in with her signature frown. My heart began to race faster than normal from her presence.

“Where were you?” She asked sternly.

I swallowed the invisible lump in my throat. “I…”

“I came to your room twice to look for you and was told you were bathing? It doesn’t seem that way to me considering how you are dressed.” She scrutinised me to the point I almost forgot how to breathe.

“You lied to me, didn’t you?” My stepmother questioned Anna.

“No, my lady. I dare not. I thought she was…”

“Shut it.” She cuts her off harshly.

“I don’t have time for enough talk today and that’s because I’m in a good mood. Firstly, my daughter is married to one of the strongest Alpha in the world and secondly, my son, Alpha Dimitri is coming after ten years.” She revealed.

Alpha Dimitri? My stepbrother and also the brother I’ve never seen before. They said he left before I was brought to the pack after the death of my birth mother.

“I came here to inform you that Alpha Dimitri will be here soon and I want you to be on your best behavior. You will act right and give me no reason to get angry. Also, try not to make a mess today. It’s not a threat but a warning,” she stated firmly before turning to leave.

I heaved a sigh of relief.

“He’s here!” I heard someone say as everyone rushed outside to welcome Alpha Dimitri who is also my stepbrother.

I don’t know him, I’ve not seen him and I don’t know what to expect of him. Why? Because he was given birth to by my stepmother and none of her fruit seems to fall far from the tree as Amelia was just like her mother and more wicked.

Only the moon goddess can tell if the son will be any different.

“Hurry up. We have to be there to welcome him or your stepmother won’t be happy if she gets there before you,” Anna reminded me and I sighed.

I dragged my feet and went outside to join the others. My stepmother was already there, standing in front of everyone as she waited for her son. I honestly wanted him to come and for this to be over with.

Just as I wanted, Alpha Dimitri stepped out of the carriage revealing himself. Everyone went quiet as they welcomed him. The minute I saw his face, I gasped in shock. My eyes popped out like that of an owl and my stomach sank in disbelief.

Alpha Dimitri, the son of my stepmother who is also my stepbrother, was the handsome stranger I had sex with.

“Oh no!” I uttered in clear disbelief.
