Chapter 7

When I woke up three days later, I saw an unfamiliar coastline outside the window. This was the human district, far from the werewolf territories.

The nurse told me I had been in the ICU for three whole days.

"The baby…" I instinctively reached for my belly.

It was flat and empty. Instead, there was a long surgical scar.

"Let him in. Let's end this," I said. My voice sounded hoarse, as if I had swallowed sand.
