His hands were tucked into the pockets of his brown-washed pants, accentuating the length of his legs. His lips twitched into a smile as he stepped closer, and I could feel the heat emanating from my body.

The scent of lavender and cedarwood flooded my senses, and I never thought those two would make such a good combo.

My chest tightened as he stepped closer to Mom, who stood frozen, staring at him. Her hazel eyes were locked on his, in what seemed like either fear or maybe love?

I couldn’t tell.

It was definitely not a look of admiration, nor a ā€œfirst-meetā€ look she could later explain. Instead, it seemed like a look of horror as time went by, and the man in front of us didn’t deserve such a gaze.

He didn’t even have a tattoo, just toned skin, dusk-red lips, a chiseled jawline, a pointed nose, and a broad chest I bet would be harder than a rock, along with really long legs.

He cupped her chin, smiled like he had just found his favorite toy, and then crashed his lips onto hers.

Ew.

  • Pregnant for the Wrong Stepbrother Ā Ā Ā Chapter 48: Hand over the keys.

Killan's pov Knox's mouth dropped in shock. ā€œWhat are you talking about, man? You won the race — why would you give them your car?ā€ he asked, wide-eyed.I sighed deeply, trying to calm whatever was brewing inside of me. ā€œForget it, man. Just hand over the keys. They won.ā€ I bit my lower lip as the words slipped out. Thank God Riley wasn't in sight. He pushed himself up from the couch with the key in his hand. ā€œWhen did you become a dick, huh?ā€ he snapped, shoving me in the chest with a glare.ā€œThey were the ones who started it,ā€ he said, jabbing his thumb toward the door. His voice echoing against the bare walls. ā€œThey started the fight to distract you — to win by cheating — and now you’re just going to let them have it their way?ā€ He barked between heavy breaths.I’d never seen him this angry.ā€œLook, man,ā€ I said, trying to keep my voice calm because this could escalate fast, ā€œthe deal is whoever gets to the finish line first gets the prize, and they did. Just hand it over, okay? It

  • Pregnant for the Wrong Stepbrother Ā Ā Ā Chapter 47: A different ending

Killian's pov My heart thudded violently in my chest as I scooped her into my arms, pulse racing like it wanted to burst out of my skin. The crowd around us had scattered in panic, fleeing in every direction while sharp, terrifying gunshots echoed into the night air. ā€œFuck! The cops are coming!!!ā€ Knox screamed, his eyes wide with panic as he helped me get her into the back seat. Without a single thought, I lunged into the driver’s seat and slammed the door shut—speeding off before Knox could even pull the door properly. The cops? No. Not again. This cannot repeat itself. The sirens erupted behind us, loud and accusing—confirming my fears. ā€œShit,ā€ I hissed under my breath, jaw clenched so tightly it hurt. My eyes flickered to the rearview mirror—she was still not moving. Just lying there. Still. Too still. ā€œThey’re right behind us! Do something, man!ā€ Knox barked. I stepped harder on the accelerator, trying every button—anything that could help us outrun them. The engin

  • Pregnant for the Wrong Stepbrother Ā Ā Ā Chapter 46: Cheering for him

Riley's POVThe sound that followed nearly blew my eardrums. Tires screeched, smoke spiraled, and the two cars shot forward like bullets, disappearing down the long stretch of road.Brian had already pointed out that the black car with trails of green was Killian, while the red with trails of black was for the Bulls, but it was still hard to tell them apart with the sun losing its grasp on the earth and the mounds of dust they left behind.I could feel my heart in the same rhythm as the sound of their tires screeching as they swerved in between lanes. Brian's hand hung lazily over my shoulder, deepening my discomfort. He held a bottle in the other one, his lips moving towards the girl that had introduced herself as Lola.I couldn't hear what they were saying because of the noise, but I could hear her sharp giggles loud and clear. They weren't even paying attention, and the last time I queried, after he left for over an hour, he said Killian would always rewrite history. There was noth

  • Pregnant for the Wrong Stepbrother Ā Ā Ā Chapter 45: Never lost, Never will

I forced the thoughts of her watching me away, brushing my finger over the key fob. How did they get together? Why are they together? My fists clenched tight against the wheels, the hard leather pressing back against my palms. If Dad ever gets to know, I'm doomed.I can't get caught again. After barely escaping last time with Knox, it took half the company profit to get those greedy-ass cops to shut their mouths up to the reporters.I gulped hard.Plus, he made it very clear that if it ever happens again, he'd look for Nicholai himself. Now,A heavy sigh escaped my lips. She's here. The only way it can get leaked.I slammed my hand hard against the wheels, the EB logo at the center staring back at me.ā€œKillian!ā€ Someone yelled over the music. I stuck my head out to find Knox waving a green flag, his hair, now messy blond, bouncing with every step. ā€œAre you ready or what? The Bulls are already making a hell of a noise.ā€He froze halfway. ā€œDamn, this baby is hot,ā€ he said, spanking the

  • Pregnant for the Wrong Stepbrother Ā Ā Ā Chapter 44: The Red Bandana

I blinked fast, forcing my legs to move away from the scene. My heart pounded so hard that I could feel it in my ears when the guy tried turning in my direction.Nope. I didn’t just see that.I took a deep breath and retraced my steps toward the noise, the music, the chaos—anything that would drown what I’d just seen.By the time I got back to the main area, the bass had doubled, and the crowd had grown thicker. The smell of burnt rubber mixed with perfume and alcohol. Someone must have fired up a few engines because smoke was curling lazily into the air.Brian was already back with his friends, clinking bottles and laughing like nothing else existed. The girl from before had returned, hanging off his shoulder, her bright red lipstick smudged across the edge of her mouth.Guess I wasn’t the only one who needed a distraction.Just as I tried to relax, my eyes caught three figures approaching under the blue lights emanating from bikes.A guy and two girls by his side. His shoulders were

  • Pregnant for the Wrong Stepbrother Ā Ā Ā Chapter 43: Celebrating the day-off

Riley's POV The sun blazed high, turning every chrome surface into a mirror. Engines rumbled lazily in the distance while I just stood beside our car watching. The air was thick with fuel, smoke, and the faint sweetness of spilled liquor. I swallowed hard, avoiding judging eyes. If I had known Brian was the man of the day, I wouldn't have come with him. Who in hell celebrates a day off the whole day? Isn't it for rest? It's been over five hours, and he had just left after whispering that we were just getting started. I sighed heavily. The best I can do is watch. Rows of supercars lined the stretch of road. Beautiful cars. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, and more. Their doors opened like wings, music spilling from each one. Guys leaned over hoods talking horsepower, while girls in shorts and crop tops danced on the sidelines, drinks in hand. The vibe has never reduced since we started. It's been more. And more. But despite how fun it all was, one thin
