Chapter 20

As they both exited the airport, Jessamine and Shane saw the man entering Thaddeus' car. Jessamine later learned that the man was Thaddeus' uncle.

Back to the present, Jessamine couldn't possibly let Thaddeus know that she was pregnant. She was worried that he would force her to abort the baby.

"Noah, can you please keep this a secret? For me?"

Noah's lips curled upward in amusement. "Isn't it good news that the Holt family is about to welcome another family member? Why do you want to hide it?"

"We … We're getting divorced. I've already signed the divorce papers."

Noah raised an eyebrow and stared deeply into Jessamine's eyes. A brief while later, he nodded his head softly. "Your secret is safe with me."

Jessamine felt a little awkward when he stared at her just now. She couldn't describe it, but she got a bit weirded out when he kept looking at her. However, he was very gentlemanly with his words and actions, so she couldn't find a bone to pick with him.

"Thank you, Noah. But w
