MONICA.

I never thought seeing Larissa again would make me feel so much hatred, but here we are.

This is the same girl who clothed me at some point, who dined with me and shared everything with me. And I shared everything back. From food to my personal life to my dressed and my wine. This is the girl I treated like the little sister I never had. I faced a Creature to save her. I would have been alright getting mauled if if meant not bringing any harm to her.

Now all I can think about is what the Disciple showed me about her and Yara. How they happily betrayed me and Roman—especially Roman, who have done nothing but be good to them.

I simply don't understand.

"So it is true," I say in a low voice. "You do serve the Disciple. You and your mother."

Larissa rises to her feet from her insultingly low bow. "We do serve him, my lady. I'm sure you finally met and you know what your relationship to him is. He's a wonderful man who has great plans for Terra Lycaon. We all fully believe in him."

    ROMAN.I go over the mountains, and it turns out that Yara didn’t lie to me. There’s a mansion standing behind the mountains, tucked away in the trees and the frozen lake. It’s dark, but the lights coming from the inside is what gives it away. I stay back behind the woods, observing the place. There aren’t a lot of guards outside. I’m counting about five, which tells me that either they don’t need a lot of numbers because of what they’re capable of doing or the Disciple just doesn’t expect anyone to be there.
