Chapter 2

P.O.V. jack

i ploped down next to thomas and our other friends. i sat in the best spot i can eat my food and watch ren. i cant wait for her to know who i am and maybe then she will stop hating me so much. i dont even know why she hates me.

"Ren, hes staring at you again." her bestfriend katie whispers to her

"seriously? do i have something on my face or something?" Ren whispers back 

katie giggles "no....honestly i think he likes you, probably the reason he is always doing the stuff he does. talk to him and find out" katie whispers back

"but..."

katie interupts her "no missy you need to at least talk to a guy other then our friends. how do you expect to find you mate this weekend" she whisper yells at her

i snicker, little does katie know she is talking to the future luna of my pack. maybe when i become alpha i will let katie come shes funny. i watch as Ren grumpily stands up and starts walking over to my table. she stops right behind me, i slowly turn around and look up at her.

"hi Ren, how can i help you?" i ask smiling up at her.

a look of hatred glimes in her eyes for a split second, im sure if i wasnt a wolf i wouldnt have seen it.

she rolls her eyes and looks back at me "so i am going to have a party this week end for my sweet 16....would you and your friends like to come?" i can tell she really didnt want to ask that.

i look around at my friends at my table they all nod happily. i look back at her and say

"we would love to join you for your 16th birthday... are you going to celabrate your first shift as well?"

"what do you mean?"

i look at her puzzled "in my pack, when someon turns 16 they have a birthday party and then when the moon is at its apex we all head out to a clearing in the woods and we shift together"

"i dont think anyone in my pack has ever done that. it sounds every interesting ill have to think about it" she says as she turns to walk back to her table. she sits slowly down in her spot next to katie. 

"sooooo.....what did he say"

"he said he would go" she says kinda in a daze.

"seriously?! you know the most popular and hottest guy in school is gonna go to your party everyone is gonna wanna go we may need to do this out in the woods " katie says giddily 

just then the bell rings and the lunch room starts to empty.

P.O.V. Ren 

 after lunch everything kinda went on in a daze. katie kept rambling on and on about the party that i havent talked to my parents about yet and now my party is blowing up into the biggest party of the year just because i had to invite a stupid cocky alpha. my phone start vibrating i look at my phone and i see that i got three texts from beth i groan

'why am i hearing that we are having a huge party on saturday for your birthday'

'and why is a soon to be alpha from another pack going'

'you better text me back'

i groan and stop in the bathroom to call her and explain what is going on and why.the phone rings once before beth picks up the phone.

"you better be calling me to explain your self" she says obviously upset.

i sigh" i was planning on asking you about having a party for my 16th birthday. but you have been so busy with your work i didnt want to bother you"

"so explain to my why you invited an alpha from another pack?" she asks

"katie is convinced that he likes me and has been pushing me to invite him for the last couple of weeks...so i finally gave in so shed leave me alone about it...and then it just blew up i wasnt planning on so many people thinking it was open for anyone to go"i explain.

"okay, we will figure this out when you get home and you can stay home tomarrow so we can plan this thing...now get your butt to class ill be there to pick you up after" she says and hangs up. i shove my phone back in my pocket and start heading to class. as i turn the corn i run straight into a very hard muscular chest, i start to fall back wards and two strong arms wrap around me and pulling me close. the smell that hit me smelled like a burning fire and rain. i didnt think that was possible for someone to smell like something that doesnt sound like it could smell good together. i slowly lift my head and look up at the person that i ran into. and the person that has their arms around me shocks me to my core. how could i have ran into jack of all fucking people, and how can he smell so damn good. i stand back up and push him off of me and taking a few steps back.

"ummm. im sorry for running into you i didnt see you" i mumble 

"its okay.... i sorta over heard your conversation with your mom sorry" he says rubbing the back of his neck.

"shes not my mom, shes my sister" i say looking down, only the people in my pack knows i lost my sister

"ok now i am confused why where you guys talking like mom and daughter?"

"umm. i dont know you that well, and only my pack knows that....so im gonna go to class now"

i say walking away and heading to art class.

P.O.V. jack

i have to find out what shes keeping from me.

i mind link thomas 'find out more info about Ren but trying to make it to where no one knows its coming from me'

'yes alpha' thomas mindlinks back. 

i start to head to myt car because i dont have a last period i love to watch her walk out of the school. 

'you know when you think like that it sounds supper creepy'

'o shut up onyx....you have no idea how hard it was for me to loosen my grip on her when she almost fell.'

'she did smell amazing...like a rain forest after a very heavy rain and moss. i wonder if she was able to smell our scent with being that close to us'

'i know she did. as soon as her face hit my chest she took the biggest inhale ive ever seen her do since i first met her there has always been something that has drawn me to her even before i got you'

'well she is our other half it makes sense'

i ended up falling asleep waiting for the bell to ring. 

i jumped when the bell rang, i rubbed my eyes and looking around and spotted her sister car. i climb out and start heading over to her car knowing it will be a little bit before she walks out. 

i knock on the window and she rolls it down "can i help you?"she asks a very confused look on her face.

"im jack, i wanted to say i was sorry for how many people are now planning on crashing Rens birthday party just because she invited me" i state with a empathetic look on my face.

"ooo so your the little alpha that makes her so frusterated" she exclaims with a happy look on her face.

"yea...wait i frusterate her?!" i ask shocked. i didnt realize i was doing this to her.

"ooo i said to much dont tell her that i told you that....so why are you so interested in my sister?"

she asked the protective side of her coming out in here.

"she gorgous, shes smart....must i go one?" i say starting to get uncomfortable and not really sure why.

"soooo theres no other reason why your interested in her?" she asks a knowing look on her face

i sigh " you know dont you?"

"its obvious from how ive seen you act that shes..." she looks around before continuing.

"shes your mate...but she doesnt know it....am i right?"

"i didnt think i was acting any differently....but yes she is my mate...i've known since last year, im 17, its killing me not having her know"

"feel lucky that she doesnt know yet" she says with a sad look on her face.

"what do you mean?" i ask now concerned

"this stays between you and me, Ren doesnt know that ive already met my mate...but he rejected me so that he could be with his chosen mate"

"who is this that rejected someone like you?"

"its my alpha, it kills me every day having to work for him...thats why i work so much because he makes me do everything that an alpha is supposed to do just so that he doesnt have to see me"

she ways with a sadd face.

"as you know i am so to be alpha of my pack and when that happens if you wish...if Ren doesnt reject me...i will let you come with her, no one should have to go threw that."

"i wouldnt expect you to do that just for me...." she says looking away.

"if Ren finds out about this and what your going threw she will make me do it. but even if she didnt i would do it any way"

she looks at me shocked"i would have to think about it jack and it also depends on what happens this weekend"

P.O.V Ren 

katie and i walk out of the front doors and i freeze mid-step.

"whats wrong Ren?"

"look at my sisters car...why the hell is he standing there talking to her"

"she probably talking to him about your party ansd why you invited him"

i shake my head and start walking to her car."do you need a ride home"i ask katie as we stop next to the car

"nah my moms coming to get me shell be here any second" she says hugging me and starts to walk to the back of the parking lot "love you girl"

"hi Ren...i was just interducing myself to your sister and saying sorry for all the party crashers just because of me"

"are there really going to be that many people there?" i ask sitting in my seat

"ya sadly there is...its been all over the pack house today"

i smack my palm to my forehead "why me" i say 

"im sorry its kinda my fault thats why i came over and......"

"he was offering to skip school tomarrow and help us figure out a place for us to have the party" beth interupes jack. which i think is strange.

"well i will see you girls tomarrow then i know where your guys house is....ill be over about noon if thats alright with you Ren...Beth?"

"yep sounds like a plan....sis lets go im starving" i say waving at jack as we pull away from the school and jack.

"why was he really over here talking to you?" i ask

"the exact reason he said he was telling me sorry for the party crashers" beth says as we pull into our driveway.

"ok i guess im gonna go eat then go laydown "

i say not trusting a word she just said i head inside grab some food and head to my room and flop on my bed.

how does he know where i live thats a bit creepy if you ask me.
