5. Married?

Zeno, the leader of the northern Lycan nation, keeps his promise to meet Cia at the girl's house. It wouldn't be Zeno if it didn't surprise Cia. The man came with his car, filled with food for Cia. Does he think the girl has no money to buy?

"Am I that poor?"

"Are you always prejudiced against other people?"

Cia exhaled roughly, she passed to take a jacket and cell phone in the room. Then, she walked towards Zeno's car and waited for him inside the four-wheeled thing. The girl let Zeno clean up the groceries and locked the house.

Along the way, they both just were silent. Some time ago, Cia asked Zeno to talk, such as asking about activities, what to eat these past few days, or other trivial things. Zeno only replied with a faint smile or a frown on his forehead. This made Cia curse desperately in her heart.

Now, the tall girl's brow was folded, she saw her soul mate pull over the car on the side of the forest. Will they have a date in the forest? However, Zeno didn't say anything, he quickly went outside and waited for Cia outside. In fact, the girl was waiting for Zeno to open the car door for her.

They entered the forest, treading a path full of leaves at a moderate tempo. There was no conversation, only hands clasped together that made Cia smile inwardly. The girl had never been like this in her life. She's already thousands of years old, but she still deserves to be called a girl, right?

"Where are we going?" Cia asked after a long silence.

"Meeting with my herd."

Cia looked surprised at Zeno. He was silent, reluctant to say the answer to the answer given by Zeno. "Are you crazy? How could I want to go there with you?"

"Why? They will appreciate and welcome you, Cia."

"No! I can't go by your invitation, Zeno. I'm afraid," afraid that nobody knows who I really am.

"What are you afraid of? My people may not consider you an enemy. Because you are my mate."

Zeno and Cia's conversation made Cia confused, instead of finding a solution. The girl felt that this was something that was very challenging and so extreme that it would be reckless to just force it. Until this second, it was hard for Cia to determine the answer.

"So how? Do you want to accept my invitation?"

Cia immediately shook her head, "You only, I'd rather stay here alone. I can't possibly live out there in the open and free countryside."

"But you have to be able to do that. For me, Cia."

"I, I can't now, Zen."

The brown-haired man closed his eyes, neutralizing all emotions. He hated rebuttals the most, but this was his girl. So, Zeno decided to stay away from there after hearing Cia say a really definite answer. Zeno still finds it hard to leave Cia, but on the one hand, the girl seems indifferent and completely disrespectful of Zeno's invitation.

"Fine, I'll go. Please don't ever look for me and don't regret it." Zeno waved at Cia.

The girl felt that the situation was dim and made her vision blurry. She couldn't do anything about what he was currently facing. "In fact, if he wants to seduce me, I will definitely comply with his request."

It's too late. Cia lost track of Zeno's footsteps, which seemed to be moving away from him. Until, in the end, Zeno's whereabouts could no longer be caught by a pair of eyes.

"He's really gone. Huh! Should I wait for him? Or should I just go home? But, I don't have the car keys." Zeno left. Strange sounds that could be heard by Cia's ears made the girl alert. She believed that those were all voices obtained from circumstances that were currently not on his side.

Despite being on alert, she still had to walk towards the edge of the forest. Waiting for Zeno there was better than waiting in a forest prone to immortals.

One hour, two hours, even the day before the afternoon. Cia's legs ached and she also felt her calves getting bigger. Waiting is the most boring thing.

The girl with silver hair sighed. She jumped down from the hood of the car and left the venue. She was sure Zeno would not come back.

Right after fifteen steps, the girl froze. Her legs went limp like half-frozen jelly. Zeno hugged her from behind for a few moments, then turned Cia's body until their eyes met.

"Let's get married."

Hearing that statement, Cia's heartbeat slowed down. The feeling of joy and happiness that came suddenly, replaced the feeling of annoyance that had perched earlier. She felt she would die right now because her heart slowed down.

"Married? You and me?"

Zeno nodded. The man shifted slightly and it turned out that behind him was an old man. "He's Noya, he's the one who will marry us."

"But, I haven't confirmed your question earlier."

"That's not the question. I don't need rejection. After all, you know the consequences when a pair of souls have met and been separated for a long time, right?"

Cia nodded. Because yesterday she almost died because she was away from Zeno for too long. This mate bond is really troubling, but it is the choice of the goddess. It must have been a well thought out thing.
