Set’s POV

We were all staring at that board ahead of us, going through the pattern that had emerged. Lost in our thoughts, contemplating the repercussions of our discovery, and dealing with the thousand unanswered questions that came with it.

The most important question hung in the air, suffocating us all. Why her?

For a change, even Avo was not in his element. Avo had always had an insight into every situation. Never had I seen him so unaware. Clearly, this was not what he was expecting.

To be honest, this had caught all of us off guard, even Lucifer, especially Lucifer.

Our dear brother was not the one to be a slave to his emotions. Even during those rage fits, when his beast craved to see bloodshed, Lucifer always kept his mind sound.

Not this time, though; right now he was fairly out of his zone. This was the first time I had seen him like this in a long long time.
