Chapter 23 – Hostility
As the news finally spread, even at such a very late juncture, people started noticing her and giving her attention. When she goes to his office, she would meet many people on the way, greeting her. She was surprised to be addressed as Mrs. Wayne Anderson.
“What’s wrong?” He asked as he noticed her somewhat confused and dazed expression as soon as she came in.
She gestured towards the door as she walked to him. “People are greeting me as Mrs. Anderson. Did you make an announcement or something?” She sounded a little amused.
“Jarred praised your skills at making love bites during a meeting.” He tapped the side of his neck where a faint mark still remains. She blushed at imagining how that meeting went.
“Sorry. Did I cause you trouble?” She asked as she sat on the couch, but he waved her over. Normally, that means she has to sit on his lap.

Wayne didn’t dare to return home without all the information he needs. He had to make sure nothing really happened.
