I TRUST YOU

When Queen opened her eyes, she found herself lying on a king-sized bed.

The injury on the side of her forehead had been treated, and a small plaster was placed over it. She examined the cuts on her hands and legs and noticed that they had also been treated.

She had no idea how long she had been unconscious for or where she was. As she looked around, the memories of what had happened to her parents flooded back.

She sat up abruptly and called out, "Mom? Dad?" She scanned the room carefully, trying to figure out her location.

Then her gaze landed on a painting of a horse in her room, and she began to wonder if she was with their allies: The Wild Stallions.

However, she couldn't be certain; it could be the enemy who had taken her. With uncertainty in her mind, she stood up and started walking towards the door, which suddenly opened, revealing someone entering.

She stared at Bryce in surprise.

"Queen, you're finally awake," he said as he approached her.

Tears streamed down her face as she cried out, "Bryce, my parents!" Overwhelmed with emotions.

He embraced her, comforting her with a gentle pat on the head. "I know, I know," he whispered. "It's all my fault. I arrived too late. My dad didn't want the inauguration to start without The Black Scorpions, considering the number of gangs that were coming. He tried to reach your dad, but his lines weren't going through. We sent some of our gang members to check on you, to see if everything was okay. When they reached the road, they discovered that you had been attacked and had an accident."

As he explained, Queen listened attentively, her heart sinking.

Bryce continued, "I rushed to the scene as soon as I received the news since it was nearby and found you collapsed by the side of the road. Our doctors examined you and couldn't find your parents.

Unfortunately, no one from your gang survived the attack. We also couldn't locate your parents at the scene. Then, your car exploded. When I saw it, I was terrified, thinking something had happened to you. I felt as though my world was about to collapse but then I found you and brought you here. The doctor gave you some shots to ease your pain. Do you feel better now?"

"Thank you so much for saving my life." Queen looked up at him and expressed her gratitude.

However, she confessed that her body was not in pain, but her heart was overwhelmed with grief. "My parents... they are my world. Without them, how can I go on? I need to find them," she lamented.

Bryce asked, "Are you certain your parents were alive after the accident?

She responded, "Yes, of course, they are alive. I overheard the enemies saying they wanted Andre Scorpion and his wife. I saw them taking my parents away. If they wanted them dead, they would have killed them on the spot. There must be a reason they took them. Perhaps they want..."

She stopped mid-sentence, realizing something, "No, it can't be. This wasn't a kidnapping; it was a well-planned attack. How could they overpower us so quickly? We weren't even expecting it. I don't understand what happened."

Bryce assured her, "Don't worry, just rest. We will get to the bottom of everything. Do you trust me, Queen?"

Queen hesitated, contemplating the trust her father had always advised against. Though she loved Bryce, she trusted no one else except her parents.

Reluctantly, she replied, "Yes, I trust you."

"Then, in that case, lie down and rest. I promise you that we will begin a full-out search for your parents, okay? No matter what happens, they will be found. Are you hungry? Do you want me to bring you some food?"

"No, I have no desire to eat," she said. "Thank you very much."

She went back to the bed while he opened the door and left.

She lay on the bed, thinking about what to do, and did not know when she fell asleep. After a while, she felt someone kissing her neck, and she instantly opened her eyes.

It was Bryce lying on the bed beside her, shirtless and wearing only his briefs. He began to caress her, but she held his hands and asked, "What do you think you're doing, Bryce?"

He replied, "Actually, this is my room, Queen. And ever since we were introduced, I've wanted to do this."

Queen immediately got up and exclaimed, "No! This is not happening!"

Bryce was surprised and asked, "What is not happening, Queen? I love you, and you love me too. We are getting married. What's the problem?"

Queen was shocked, "How can you think about this? Bryce, for crying out loud, my parents have been taken to God knows where, and this is what you are thinking about?"

Bryce calmly said, "Come on, I'm not the enemy here. Don't talk rudely to me, please."

"Listen, I'm sorry. I'm very sorry, but I cannot do this, okay? There's just so much going on in my mind. I cannot do this." Queen responded firmly.

"Okay, that's fine. just relax. It's only a few minutes past nine. Relax, okay? It was my mistake for assuming that this would make you feel better."

"No, it won't," Queen replied.

After a while, Bryce got up and said, "I'll just leave. Maybe I'll sleep in another room."

"I think that's better," Queen said.

"There are some dresses and pajamas in the wardrobe. I got them specifically for you. If you feel like changing, you can go ahead and do so."

Queen nodded, "Thank you."

As he walked away from the room, she sighed and sat on the bed. Yes, she had been a little bit rude to him, but what did he take her for?

Yes, she loved him, but this wasn't the time for such things. Instead of discussing the plan about rescuing her parents, he wanted to have sex with her? Unbelievable!

She got up and went into the bathroom to take a bath. As the water poured on her body, the places where she had cuts and wounds hurt, and she bit her lips to stop herself from screaming.

After taking her bath, she came out, opened the wardrobe, took out a pair of pajamas, and wore them.

Afterward, she began to wonder what was going on outside. She wasn't someone who liked being confined. Yes, Bryce was helping her, but she would rather just have a conversation with his father and listen to the plans he had about rescuing her parents.

She had no desire to eat or do anything else. As she walked towards the door to open it, she realized that it was locked from the outside. She was surprised and wondered why they would lock the door.

She looked to her side and saw a note, written by Bryce, which read, "If you need anything, please don't hesitate to call me."

There was a telephone just beside the note. She shook her head, wondering what he took her for. She stared at the door for a while, and an idea came to her mind.

She took off the earrings she had worn. She normally didn't like wearing earrings, but she had done so for Bryce, and now it was coming in handy.

Using the earring, she picked the locks: something her dad had taught her from infancy. After picking the lock, she came out of the room and began to look around.

She searched for cameras, knowing that there were bound to be some, and she spotted two not too far from where she was.

She slowly evaded the cameras and walked out. She had also looked around Bryce's room and noticed that there were no cameras, which was to her advantage.

She evaded the cameras and continued to walk when she overheard a conversation. Christopher Stallion was having a conversation with people.

She listened in and heard him ask, "So, what are we going to do?"

She heard Bryce's voice say, "The scorpions have been well hidden. Andre and Valerie will not come out until we get everything that we want."

Christopher asked, "Good, what about his bratty daughter?"

Bryce said, "I have her under control for now. She's acting all fierce, but don't worry, Dad. I'm going to tame her."

"Okay. So what's the plan going forward?" Christopher asked.

"After that, we'll... ehm," Bryce began to stutter, and his father became upset.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Bryce? I am giving you an opportunity to show yourself, and you're embarrassing me. Look at other gang leaders here. Is this how you intend to lead?" Christopher thundered.

"No, no, I have everything all planned out," Bryce replied. "I promise you, Valerie and Andre have been kept in the safe house. They'll be there until we get the information from them. Once we get what we want, I am going to kill them.

Queen is just a backup plan, just in case we cannot get the information out of them. In no time, I will completely get her wrapped around my fingers and extract it from her.

If she proves to be useless, however, I'll just kill her off. No matter what, I will get what we want."

"Now you're talking," his father said. "Once this meeting is over, take the truck and take our goods to the safe house. Deliver it and make sure everything goes accordingly."

"Okay, Dad, I'll do just that," Bryce replied.
