“Ahhhh, not my legs…not my sexy legs, you f*ucking zombies.”
A loud scream tore through the room, the girl on the bed was kicking and rolling like she was fighting someone. Suddenly she rolled of the bed and hit the ground hard. “Ouch!” She said as her eyes snapped open, rubbing her sore hips, she glanced around to see herself in an unfamiliar environment or rather her room. “What am I doing here?...No, what's going on?.” This was her room before the apocalypse! She remembered that she had been locked in with a hoard of zombies by some men she had saved. Hmph. Those men only had good-looking faces and rotten hearts. She had saved the three of them because they were handsome, even shared her limited resources. But when zombies surrounded them, they locked her inside and ran. “Sure enough one shouldn't judge people by their looks.” She felt her whole body and didn't see any signs of injury. “Am I dreaming in my last moments?” She murmured “Or did I go back in time like in those novels?” She suddenly sprang to her feet to look for her phone, the date was seven days before the apocalypse! Although during the apocalypse one couldn't tell the exact date, but she had already spent about two years in the apocalypse. Lila Benedict looked around the room, arms folded against her chest “I have to start planning” she said. But where do I start from? She quickly grabbed a jotter to write the list of things she had to buy, after writing a long list and seeing the exorbitant price, she exclaimed. “I've never felt this good being an orphan before.” Imagine she had a family member, wouldn't she have to buy more resources? Her eyes suddenly widened as if she was enlightened, she quickly wrote “No more handsome men” on the topmost part of the list, she scratched it and wrote “NO ONE.” In the apocalypse world, it was chaotic everywhere, people weren't kind to each other and no one will save anyone without getting something in return. When she didn't have anything to eat, no one gave her anything, but she decided to save handsome men and look where she ended. She looked at the list in satisfaction and thought about where to store these things, in a few days the meat and vegetables will go bad, but she didn't want to remove them from the list. It's been so long since she had a decent meal so she's definitely going to buy some meat. “It'll be nice if I had a space system like those female leads in novels.” She sighed. Thinking of abilities, she balled her hands into fists and threw a punch at the wall. “Ahhh,” she screamed. Her super strength was gone, she should have chosen a softer thing to try it on. She gently blew on her fingers when a thought suddenly occured to her. What if the apocalypse didn't come? Still she couldn't risk it, she pulled on her jacket and decided to go to a restaurant to eat first, after eating a nice meal, she'll go and shop for some things. She thought about where to put those things, this her crappy rooftop house isn't safe at all. She even has to move out before the apocalypse, because once it comes, there'll be a lot of zombies on all floors and she'll have to fight them all the way down and she wasn't confident that she'll get away unscathed. She'll deal with this problem after having a meal. As she walked out of the building, her lips curled up in a smile. When last had she seen such a nice weather, the weather was always gloomy during the apocalypse. She inhaled deeply, as the scent of fresh bread wafted to her nose. “Oh my, why does it smell so nice?” Lila didn't even notice that people were staring at her strangely, after all she stood at the middle of the street and was whispering and smiling at herself. She only came to her senses when an old woman passed by her and said “You're still young you should take care of yourself and not go crazy even if life is hard.” That was when she saw other people also looking at her she heard whispers like. “What a pity, such a pretty girl.” She didn't bother to deny it, since the beginning of time crazy people never admitted that they were crazy, the more she denied it the more they'll believe that she really is. Lila ambled down the street and came across a medium sized restaurant. Settling down on a chair near the window, she picked up the menu and started ordering. She glanced at the waiter and pointed at a page “I want all the dishes on this page.” As for the others as long as she had the ingredients she can cook them in the coming days. The waiter stood still, mouth wide “Every dish?.” It's not that he doesn't want to take her order, it's just…can she finish it? He had seen her when she walked in, she had a pretty face and she's quite thin, with long legs. This kind of people only ate salad, right? Lila watched as the waiter kept furrowing his brow, she didn't have time for this. “Get it.” She spat. The waiter shuddered, why does she speak so powerfully. Minutes later, Lila looked at the dishes spread across the table and her face lit up in excitement. “I'm finally going to taste this delicacies.” She picked a piece of meat and savoured the taste on her tongue before chewing slowly, later on she didn't even bother about her image and devoured everything on the table. The waiter kept casting side glances at her. When he saw empty plates on the table, his eyes widened. Where did all the food go?. No one can blame him though, afterall who would believe that it all went into Lila’s stomach, she didn't even leave the fish bones behind. The apocalypse has taught her never to waste food, there were times when she even ate tree barks, so how could she have leftovers? Even if she did she'd definitely take it with her when leaving! The problem Lila had now was that she couldn't move at all. She had to sit there like a dead person for about an hour before she got to her feet and walked out. She collapsed on her bed immediately she got into the room. When she woke up it was already getting dark outside. “How could I have slept off like that? There are still many things to buy, after today I'll only have six days left before the apocalypse.” She sprung to her feet, and only then did she notice the pain in her stomach. “I must have over eaten.” She said, but the pain suddenly intensified.Adrian's eyes narrowed in pain as he caught Lila in his arms. He carried her to the guest room and laid her gently on the bed before leaving. He stood at the door with a complicated expression. After all he was a veteran actor. How could he not know that she was pretending?Inside the room, Lila's eyes swung open. She patted her chest lightly. That was a close call, luckily, she came up with the fainting idea. How many hours do people normally faint for? When am I supposed to wake up?Lila facepalmed. “For now, I'll go to the house to plant my fruits.” She had bought some seeds before the apocalypse but hadn't planted them yet.In a second, she appeared in her house. “Hello Mimi,” she should have known Mimi wouldn't respond. With a huff, she sauntered to the farm at the back of the house.Lila’s eyes brightened as she saw the vast land now filled with all sorts of trees and vegetables. There were Oranges, Cherries, Pears, Apples and other kinds of fruits. She hadn't expected the sy
As the trio arrived at the spot Lila parked her car, she noticed that she couldn't drive the car at all. The road was all blocked, much worse than when she came in. Lila was reluctant to leave the car behind, after all it was a car she had carefully chosen. After walking for a few minutes, she told Adrian and the makeup artist that she left something important in the car. The makeup artist was shocked. Was this helper going to abandon them? Tears welled up in her eyes “Are you…?” “Don't worry, I'll just pick up something and be right back.” The makeup artist was still worried but chose to trust Lila. She still had a sick little sister waiting for her at home. Adrian nodded, he didn't trust Lila at all. But he knew she'd be back. He remembered the look in her eyes when she saw him back then, like he was some kind of gold statue. She definitely wanted something from him, so she won't abandon him. They both found an overturned car and hid behind it. Watching as zombies w
Before Lila's eyes, people were running in all directions. She would have thought she was in the wrong place if it weren't for their costumes.A zombie, no, their colleague that was bitten had turned and was now chasing them around. One of the men had climbed onto a car, and Rose was also trying to climb while screaming “pull me, pull me.”As she screamed the zombie went running to her. Lila facepalmed. She had warned them about that bitten man but they didn't listen. But these people were quite dumb, they were so many of them, and she had mentioned earlier that they could kill a zombie by hitting the back of its head. The zombie wasn't even fast, it moved like a toddler just learning to run.Suddenly Lila felt someone grab her arm and drag her behind a car. It was the makeup artist from earlier.“Why didn't you hide?” She asked.Lila now understood, that the girl thought she was scared stiff. She was just enjoying the show, okay?Wait, where's my puzzle piece? She had seen everyone e
Lila's breath hitched, fingers tightening around the bat. Could there be a zombie behind her? No, Mimi wouldn't sound so serious if it was a zombie.Could the noise just now have attracted dozens of them?Lila turned sharply, ready to smash anything in her way, then she froze, her hand mid air. There was nothing behind her!Was Mimi playing her again? At this point Mimi really wanted to roll her eyes. “I meant don't leave. One of your guys is in this building.”“What gu— you mean the puzzle piece?.” I didn't expect to find one so soon. At this point within a month I'll be able to bring the house out.Deep in her mind was anger that she tried to suppress. Back then she'd had saved those three men from a man eating flower. They didn't want to leave afterwards, claiming that they want to stay so they can look after each other. Lila had nothing against handsome men so she agreed, even giving them her resources. After a few weeks they encountered a zombie horde, those men not only didn't h
Lila didn't go back to her rooftop house, it was almost dawn so she just drove towards the highway, stopping at some gas stations. She moved the tanks into her house and only left a few behind. Lila made a mental note to get more fuel if she went to other cities in the future.Or should I just go now? Thinking that she still hadn't gotten cars yet, she decided to drive back to the largest car dealership in the city.As Lila drove, she noticed the temperature drop a little, the sun had risen at this point but the weather was somewhat gloomy, like it was going to rain. But Lila knew that wasn't the case. The apocalypse had begun.Lila got closer to the city center. The road was now filled with overturned cars, smoke and people running in all directions.A lady stood frozen as zombies moved towards her, she didn't dare to scream or run.Tut Tut. Lila disliked people like this the most, they always end up relying on others since they can't do anything themselves. The zombies finally bit
Lila stood outside, looking at the people going and coming, they didn't know that the world would end tomorrow.Worst part is, it's almost the end of the month. Many people are already planning how to spend their salary, little did they know that they wouldn't even get the chance to receive it.She sighed. These days hadn't been easy, she's either bickering with Mimi, packing her things into the house system, or practicing her strength. She got her strength ability back three days ago. Now she was strong enough to face the level one zombies. The first zombies to appear were very weak and slow.Later on they started to evolve and human started gaining abilities too. Abilities like, fire, water, wood, mental, lightning and strength. In the past she only had super strength. Lightning was the strongest and only two people had it. Next was fire and then water that can later evolve into ice.It was night now, she was already fully dressed in black pants and shirt. She had a backpack with
