“I need an explanation, why did you do it? Why did you decide to hurt me this way?” Odessa questioned.

She impulsively hit his chest, pounding hard on it.

Victor did not do anything, instead, he allowed her to do what she wanted. When he could not take the pounding on his chest anymore, he held her wrist, preventing her from continuing.

She raised her head to look up at him, her eyes were glossy with tears, the ones she was trying to hold back from falling.

“You do not beat a prince that way,” he muttered coldly, as he flung her away.

She moved far away from him as a result of the force at which he used to fling her.

She rubbed the spot on the wrist which he had held tightly, while she looked at him with heartache. Likewise, she could not understand why he changed.

It was not this way, they even had fun last night, but it was an entirely different situation today.

“I need to know, at least, I deserve an explanation from you, is that too much to ask from you?” Odessa's eyes had distress in them, her brows drawn together while she asked for an explanation in a barely audible voice.

“I do not owe you any explanation; it is my choice. I am entitled to choose whoever I want to be my Luna, and you are not fit to be my Luna,” Victor sneered at her.

“But I'm your mate!” She yelled in return. She held her forehead as she paced in front of him.

Not only that, but she wanted to let out all her frustrations, but she could not.

Furthermore, she had no idea why he treated her that way.

“Odessa,” he called with a gentle whisper.

Odessa felt as though she was hearing things. She snapped her head towards him, she did not know if her eyes were playing tricks on her, but she could see the gentleness in her eyes, one which he always showed to her.

“Victor,” she foolishly whispered.

“Odessa,” Victor called out again, but this time, Odessa had an ominous feeling. She sensed that what he was about to say to her was going to break her beyond repair.

“I, Prince Victor, the future king of the Supreme Sky Pack…” He paused as he basked in her expression of heartbreak.

“Do not say what you are about to say,” she pleaded.

She finally realized what he wanted to say. Even her wolf felt it as she panicked.

Meanwhile, Victor was not willing to listen to her cries. Rather, he enjoyed seeing her that way.

“Rejects you, Odessa Nightingale, as my mate,” he finally completed his words, and he breathed out through his lips. Somehow, he felt overjoyed about it.

He felt something snap, and he likened it to the mate bond. He felt at peace after rejecting her. Nevertheless, they had been mates. Therefore, he still felt pain.

But he was the one who rejected her, so it did not affect him a lot. He only rubbed his chest a bit, before getting himself back to normal.

Odessa, on the other hand, had her hands over her ears in a bid to cover her ears from hearing what he had to say. However, that was not enough as she could perfectly hear what he said.

She could feel her heart shattering into pieces which would be difficult to fix. Her wolf groaned in pain.

She fell to her knees, her hands placed on her chest; she gasped for air but everywhere felt suffocating for her. She could not breathe properly as she coughed slightly.

Victor looked at her, and he felt a bit bad for her sake. He wanted to help her up, but he decided against it. He would rather not have anything to do with her.

Odessa looked up, her breathing had already turned shallow. She thought he would help her up, but she was thinking too much. She finally realized that he did not want anything to do with her.

Suddenly, her eyes dazzled, and it looked beautiful due to the presence of unshed tears in her eyes.

Victor noticed how her eyes brightened, and he wondered if she had gone crazy due to rejection. He took a step back, cautiously.

He had always heard of stories of werewolves who went feral after rejection. They could maul anyone they see, and they could not think straight anymore.

He only hoped Odessa had not gone feral as he watched her rise to her feet. He stared at her with caution, moving back at the same time.

Odessa, who had been likened to someone who, had gone feral, had something on her mind.

She suddenly recalled that she had something which might allow him to return to her. She held her stomach as she flashed him a bright smile which caught him off guard.

“I have something to tell you, and I hope this might make you reconsider your decision,” she spoke with confidence. She had that much confidence in what she was about to say.

Victor was about to ignore her, but he shook his head internally. He decided to listen to what she had to say.

“Go on,” he ordered.

“Victor.”

“Your Highness,” he cut her off, correcting her immediately.

She looked at him and took a deep breath before calling out, “Your Highness!”

“I am pleased to announce to you that I am carrying your child, your child is growing in my belly,” Odessa finally announced to him.

“What?” He asked, her words taking him by surprise.

“Please repeat what you said.” He asked as he dug his hands into his ears. He thought that he was hearing things.

Odessa thought he was excited by the news, and therefore, she repeated it once more, but this time, with an excited voice, her lips twitched with excitement.

“I am pregnant with your child, your Highness.” She laid heavy emphasis on the world, 'Highness.'

“That is not possible,” Victor shook his head in denial. He did not want to believe what she said, how could she be pregnant?

“What do you mean by that? We made love two months ago, and this is the result,” Odessa was confused by his reaction.

She had thought he would be excited, he would scream out for joy, but his reaction exceeded her expectations.

“You would have to abort the child, Odessa,” he informed her while he paced about, one of his hands on his weight, while the other was on his forehead. He knew he was in a serious predicament at the moment.

“What? I can't believe you would say something like that; it is also your child,” Odessa stared at him with wide eyes; she was astonished.

ODESSA'S POV"Send me back."Selene stared at me for a long moment, her expression unreadable the way it always was when she already knew what was coming but wanted me to arrive there on my own. "You said it yourself, Odessa. It is best if he is here with you.""I know what I said." I watched Kaiden below, watched him tear through another body like it was nothing, his eyes black and empty and nothing like the man who had pressed his forehead to mine hours ago. "But I also know that he will spend eternity hating himself for what he is doing right now. I cannot let him carry that.""So you will kill him.""I will stop him." There was a difference, even if the outcome was the same. "And then he comes to me. And it is over."Selene was quiet for a beat. Then, "You understand that I cannot pull you back a second time.""I know.""And the child—""Selene." My voice broke on her name, just slightly, and I pressed my hand flat against my stomach where the onyx stone still sat warm against my

ODESSA'S POVThe world below me was burning. Not literally, at least not yet but every crash, every howl, every body that hit the ground felt like fire eating through my chest. Watching Kaiden like that, watching what was left of him after I died, was the worst thing I had ever seen. Worse than the cliff. Worse than the house arrest. Worse than Victor's hands on me.Kaiden was gone, and what stood in his place was everything the world feared."Send me back." I turned to Selene, and my voice came out steadier than I expected. "I am not asking you. Send me back."Selene watched me with that quiet, ancient look of hers the kind that saw through everything and still managed to say nothing. "You know what sending you back means.""Yes." I did not flinch. "I kill him, and then he comes home to me here."The word home caught in my throat a little. I did not let it show.Selene was quiet for a long moment. Below us, I heard Elixir's wolf slam into the earth again, and the sound twisted some

The world around them went silent. Everyone, even Urelycus who was lost in his own grief seconds ago couldn't help but watch the incident that just took place in the middle of the field. The ice that had struck itself into the King’s chest melted away, leaving only a red patch on his dark robe. “O—Odessa,” The King called out, his voice breaking as he stared at his mate in his arms, bleeding from the hole in her chest, blood spluttering from her lips. Her gaze locked on his, the fear, the pain, the sadness, the love and the regret, Kaiden could see it all in her eyes. He looked down to the hole in her chest, where his hands laid, trying to stop the bleeding. “Odessa, Odessa, please….Help! Someone help me please!” King Kaiden yelled out in pain as his vision blurred with tears, looking down at his pregnant mate. Odessa wanted to comfort him, comfort them both as she could see the constant switch between gold and red until both appeared, one eye gold and the other red. “No, no, no

  • REBIRTH: My Forbidden Entanglement    Chapter 190

AUTHOR'S POV"Let her go." Kaiden growled at Lariel as he watched his mate being suspended in the air by the latter's grip on her neck. Her legs thrashed around as she fought for her life."Lariel! Stop! She's pregnant for God's sake." Urelycus yelled at his son, his cautious gaze drifting to Kaiden."It's not often that anyone gets their hands on the Lycan king's weakness; why should I let go of such a rare chance?" Lariel asked, his head tilted to the side with a creepy smile on his face."Fine, fine, just ease your grip around her neck. She's the reason the Lycan king hasn't torn you apart yet." Urelycus tried to reason with his son, and he could see the moment of contemplation in Lariel's eyes as his son reasoned with what he said. Lariel's grip slowly loosened, and Odessa quickly took in a much-needed breath; her gaze went straight to her mate's, who was rooted to a spot, brewing with anger as he stared back at her helplessly."I can't believe that you would be so weak for someon

AUTHOR’S POV“What the hell was that?” Kaiden asked as the scene disappeared from sight. “That is what will happen in the next hour if we don't hurry up!” Urelycus responded and the witch Matriarch walked to the center, stretching her hand out as she chanted a spell, little spark appeared in the air, before small tiny holes began to appear and grow bigger as her chant increased. She didn't stop until each hole was the same size as a fully grown human. There were seven holes in total, each one in the eight realms of the world, showing the scene of the hall where the Kings and Queens of those teams were seated. • REBIRTH: My Forbidden Entanglement    Chapter 188

AUTHOR’S POV“And now, I'm going to take what really belongs to me!” Eira chuckled, and Odessa glared at her angrily. “What belongs to you? Nothing ever belonged to you, Eira. You stole everything from me just like your mom tried to do to my parents. Guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree then—” Her head was whacked to the side by a forceful blow from Eira. “All is fair in love and war, Odessa.” And right in her presence, Eira flipped open a small vial and poured the entire contents into her mouth. Odessa arched as Eira’s eyes turned to an ugly mix of purple and green. The latter smiles creepily before standing on her feet and walking off. Odessa curled into herself as she suddenly felt exposed to the people wearing black cloaks on their bodies; she watched as they drew different symbols on the floor and brought in weird ornaments and objects that creeped the hell out of her. Odessa quickly bowed, covering her eyes and ears and falling asleep as the drug in her system hadn
