STEFAN’S POV
I was exiled and the only place I could go to was the human world to stay hidden from the supernatural world. I, King Stefan, who was once revered was now exiled from my kingdoms. I entered the portal, with determination to start a new life.
~
A few years later…
“Boss, your schedule for today is a bit hectic. You have a meeting with Mr. Greenfield, Mrs. Walter and you have a golf date with Miss Jenny.” My secretary informed me as he held the document.
“Cancel them all.” I instructed, without looking up at him.
“S…sir? There is still more.” He said as he bent his head to me.
“I said, cancel them all!” I slammed my fist on the table which made a few breakable things on my table to roll of the table and break.
“o…okay sir.” He stuttered and left my office.
Since I lost Jana, I had become a cold-hearted freak and was used to being alone. I detested having meetings with any of them as we were bound from interacting with humans to the extent of them finding out who we really are. But at some point, I had to interact with them, and that’s when I send my secretary to meet with them.
I wasn’t in any mood to hear about my schedule, so I decided to cancel it all. Jana was still on my mind and every day, I was depressed. Then I called my secretary back to the office.
“Have you gotten new lists of those whose names are Jana?” I asked as I leaned my chin on my knuckles, keeping a straight face as I looked at him.
“Yes. I have a list of their address as well.” He handed it over to me respectfully.
I looked at the list and told him to leave. A few minutes after he left, I went to those address and watched each of them as they went out of the house or go in at different times. Searching for Jana wasn’t easy and I was beginning to think that the witches didn’t help me. I didn’t want to keep asking my secretary to do this as I didn’t want to start raising suspicion unnecessarily.
The next day, I was just coming back from trying out my luck on searching for Jana when I bumped into Miss Jenny.
“Mr. Stefan. It’s nice, running into you. I guess it is my lucky day that I met you.” She said, with a smile on her face.
“Good day, Miss Jenny.” I said, sternly.
“How about we have coffee over a discussion?” She proffered, pointing to the coffee shop that wasn’t far from where we were.
“I won’t be available for that. I have some things to attend to at the office.” I said, then left without waiting for a reply.
As I went back to my car, I could see a few women taking pictures of me. I was quite popular and the dream of every woman, but none of those were my concern. I had spent years looking for my long-lost love and it seemed to me that she never came back. It was hard to keep looking for her as every day’s disappointment, took a toll on me and the way I reacted to people, especially my secretary who has always been the victim of my aggression transfer.
While driving back to the office, my eyes caught sight of someone who looked just like Jana in front of a coffee shop, and on a phone call.
I quickly drove backwards a bit to be certain and it truly was Jana. The excitement that filled my heart because I had finally found who I had been looking for, made me walk out of my car and head towards her as fast as I could. I got to her and hugged her tight.
“Where have you been all along?” I asked as I hugged her tight.
All of a sudden, she pulled herself from me and gave me a hot slap that got me shocked.
“Who the heck are you to hug me just like that?” She shouted, with her eyes looking sharp as if she could shoot lasers from it.
“It’s me Jana. Stefan.” I said, still confused about what was going on.
“Who the heck is Jana? And who are you? How dare you touch me just like that! If you ever try that again, I’ll call the cops on you.” She lashed out on me and walked out on me as well, with her hair swinging from left to right as she walked fast.
I went back to my house, thinking of what had happened between Jana and I, earlier. She didn’t seem to look at me like she knew me and she was outrightly rude. She made me start doubting if she was truly Jana, but the mate bond I felt with her made me believe it was her.
“She is certainly Jana. Jana had re-incarnated.”
The next day, I woke up with Jana on my mind. I needed to get her address and information about who she was. I got to my office and my secretary came in.
“Good morning sir. Here are the list of the people who applied for different position into our company and here is their file.” He handed over the documents to me.
I loved checking the files of the applicants, because of a few reasons and the main reason was because I hoped to see Jana’s picture on it. Now that I had seen Jana, I didn’t need it, but I was used to it already.
I picked up the papers and to my shock, Jana was among those that applied for a position in the company and she was under the name, Melissa Lane.
“Where is she right now?” I asked, impatiently.
“She is in the interview room along with the others, sir.” He replied, quickly.
Then I went over to the interview room and my secretary followed me, but I didn’t enter. I only watched her from the door. She looked as gorgeous as she used to be and she sat calmly, I could hear her fast heartbeat. She must be feeling tensed, because of the interview.
“Hire her.” I said to my secretary.
STEFAN’S POV.“Excuse me sir, did you just say I should hire her? They have not compared her to anyone yet.” My secretary said, bulging his eyes out.“Inform those who are applying for the same position as hers, that we have found someone for the job.” I instructed him as I kept looking at Jana.“Alright sir.” My secretary said as he made to leave.“Wait. What position is she applying for?” I asked, out of curiosity.“A fashion designer and we have only one slot left.” He replied, respectfully.“Alright. You can leave.”I took a last look at her and then went back to my office. I was overjoyed, fate had brought back Jane to me and there was hope for me to get her back. Then I picked up the landline, then called my secretary.“Inform her that she is to start work, tomorrow.” “Alright, sir.”Then I hung up and crossed my legs, then played music. This was the first best day I have ever had since I came to the human world.JANA’S POVI woke up feeling ready to try out Stefan’s Design Co
JANA’S POV“Hello everyone, I am Melissa and I am the new recruit.” I greeted everyone with a bright smile on my face.“You are welcome. I am Dana, the head of this team. We have Alicia, Edward, Corey and Britney who are a part of this team.” Dana introduced them to me and they all came to me to give me a handshake. “So, I am certain you know your work as a fashion designer and that is the same thing we do here, but we have to make sure that we stand out, so that we can beat the other team. And then we would be able to get recognition and be trusted more for trendy outfits, okay?” Dana explained, briefly as she put her hands on her waist.Looking at her, I could tell her that she had a good fashion sense, even if it was not one that made people think she is gifted or sort, but I admired her and the way she spoke. Being in one of the best companies and meeting cool colleagues, got me stoked.“Alicia and Edward are in charge of street wears, and with your portfolio, I can see that you
JANA’S POV.“Who is there?” I asked, with my eyes, looking around in fear.“Sorry, did I scare you?” It was the pervert CEO who had appeared in the restroom with me.“What are you doing here?” I asked as I held myself tight.“I’m not here to hurt you.” He said, looking like he was concerned.“You are in the female’s restroom!” I shouted as I reached the end of the restroom. Then he looked around like he knew nothing about where he was. “Oh, my goodness. I’m sorry.” He apologized, then left the restroom. My heart was still racing and I was clueless on what to do. Was he really a pervert? Why is it me he has his eyes on? I left the restroom and walked quickly to the office where I met the others, waiting for me.“Uhm… Sorry I took time.” I apologized, with my hands, shaking as I picked up my bag.“It’s fine.” Britney said, with a smile on her face and then, she hung her hand around my shoulders.Edward had a car, so we all hopped in and he drove us to the restaurant.~“Cheers!” Ever
STEFAN'S POV.I knew this was going to be a problem, if I let her go with this information. Then I picked her up and she was shivering, in fear. Then I held her tight.“You saw none of my werewolf powers. You only saw how I fought with him with good skills and then he got knocked out.” I said, using my vampire powers to hypnotize her. Then I knocked her out and then lodged her in a hotel room and went back to my house. I removed my tie and sat on the couch, staring into blank space and the first thought that came to my mind was Jana. I needed to be in her life and it just seemed that every way I tried to come closer, was wrong to her.~MELISSA’S POVThe next day, I went to work, ready to take on my project. As I got to work, I greeted everyone, with a smile, and before I could have my seat. That same man who addressed us before the CEO, walked in.“Miss Melissa?” He called my name, then walked out.I looked at my colleagues, then followed the secretary.‘Sorry if you may have found
MELISSA’S POV.“Melissa! Melissa!” I could hear my name, being called, but it wasn’t loud. My eyes began to open little by little. Had I fainted?Edward picked me up gently and I staggered a bit, but he was there to hold me tight. He held me tight and then I rubbed my eyes and opened it, only to find him looking at me, with worry.“Are you sure you are fine? Come, let’s get to the clinic.” He said, with worry, written all over his face.“I’m…I’m fine. I…I can walk on my own.” I said as I tried to walk on my own, but staggered back into his arms.“You see? I do not think you are fine. Let’s get you to the clinic.” Edward said, then drove me to the clinic.~“You are fine. You probably just need rest.” The nurse said, with a smile.I couldn’t explain what had happened to me, neither did I understand what happened. But why did I pass out over that? Something seemed fishy, but I guess I really needed rest just as the nurse said. While Edward was driving me back home, I looked at him. He
MELISSA'S POVI got to the restaurant and I saw Layla looking around like she expected that I ought to have been there, since a while ago."Melissa. You came in late, why is that?" She asked, staring at me suspiciously."That wasn't intentional, so stop giving me that expression. You won't believe what just happened.""What just happened?" She asked, inquisitively."Well, I bumped into this pride filled woman at the entrance and she said I scratched her bag, which was a limited edition and then she asked me to pay the money back." I explained as I sipped my drink, still not believing that the woman had placed a debt on me that easy."O.M.G. Those kind of people are really bad luck. What then happened?""Surprisingly, the CEO threatened her never to treat his employees, lowly anymore except she is done having a business with him." I added, with a smile on my face."Oh, my goodness. That's so cool. Mr. Stefan is really a cool man. If he can fight for his employees, how much more his wom
STEFAN’S POVSeeing as she left in such a hurry, was disturbing. It didn’t seem like good news either. I dropped my fork and took up my suit and headed towards my car as fast as I could, so I wouldn’t lose track of her.Thankfully, I caught sight of her. She was running to wherever she was going to and I just followed her slowly at the back. A few minutes later, she got to her destination, I presume. Everywhere looked scattered, it looks like they had thrown her friend’s belongings away, then I used my wolf ears to eavesdrop, which I knew was wrong, but this was Melissa’s case. I am always more than interested on her case.“Oh, my goodness. How could she do this at night?” She gasped, with her hands, covering her mouth.~I watched as they conversed regarding the house issues until she went into her house, angrily. So, it was her, owing house rent, afterall. I drove off, back to my house and thought of what to do. There was no way I could give her landlady the money, because word woul
MELISSA’S POV“What is going on? How is this missing? What am I going to do now?” I said to myself, with tears, filling my eyes up.I sat down, feeling depressed. It was one of the personal projects I have worked on that made me happy and even Stefan had encouraged me to put it up. Just when I decided to, I can’t find my clothes now. I knew I had lost the chance, so I accepted my fate and went back to the event.“Wow, the competition is quite tough. Both the teams have put up their best and it is hard to choose, but I feel there is still one more cloth that Team A hasn’t shown us. That could help us to decide finally.” Stefan said, searching for me and at that moment, I felt like covering my face. What was I going to say? Dana would think I had told him about the cloth, behind her back, probably for favoritism and when he finds out that I can’t find it, he might think that I was only looking for an excuse, but that isn’t a problem. He had already increased my interest in putting up m
