CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE

NORA

As the sun began to rise over the castle, I yawned, spinning around on the bed. Zelda climbed on the bed, meowing in my ears as I slightly opened my eyes, the bright sunlight exuding its rays into my chambers as it sipped into my eyes.

As soon as I opened my eyes fully, she meowed again. "How was your night, Zelda?" I asked, crawling to the edge of the bed as I placed my feet on the floor.

"I will shower and take you to Lilith, I'm sure she's awake," I said as I strolled into the bathroom.

I paused in front of the mirror, staring at my reflection as memories of last night flashed through my head.

I felt goosebumps when I remembered how Zelda suddenly sneaked in through my window and suddenly spoke to me. My head went berserk.

But all thanks to her, she was the reason I found the courage to save Lilith.

Though something still bothered me, even though I told Horace the truth about me, I was still scared. I felt like I couldn't trust him, even when I wanted to.
