Isabella didn’t scream when they dragged her down the corridor.

She didn’t fight.

Not because she couldn’t—

But because she was done giving Marcus what he wanted.

Fear.

She walked.

Barefoot on cold concrete.

Head high.

Heart breaking.

But not broken.

Not yet.

Nolan watched her disappear.

His chest felt like it was being crushed from the inside.

“No,” he whispered. “No… no…”

Marcus crouched in front of him.

“You should thank me,” he said calmly. “I’ve given you clarity.”

Nolan lifted his head slowly.

Blood streaked his jaw.

Eyes wild.

“I will kill you,” he whispered.

Marcus smiled.

“You’ll try.”

Isabella was thrown into a new room.

Bigger.

Brighter.

There was a mirror on the wall.

A table.

A chair.

She knew this wasn’t a cell.

It was a stage.

Marcus stepped in moments later.

“Sit,” he said.

She didn’t move.

He raised a brow.

“I said sit.”

She walked to the chair and sat.

But she didn’t look down.

She didn’t look away.

She stared straight at him.

And something in his smile shifted.

  • RECLAIMING HIS EX WIFE    She Walks Into Hell

The address Marcus sent was not a place. It was a wound.A rotting shipyard on the outskirts of the city, long abandoned, half-collapsed, eaten by rust and salt and time. The sea crashed against the broken docks like it was trying to drag everything into itself.Isabella stepped out of the car.Alone.No phone. No protection. No way out.Her heart was hammering so violently she thought she might collapse before she even reached the entrance. She whispered Nolan’s name like a prayer.Every instinct screamed for her to turn around. She didn’t.She walked.Inside, the air was cold and damp.Footsteps echoed.Chains rattled somewhere.Voices murmured in the distance. Her stomach twisted violently. She followed the sound of a single light. And then she saw him.Nolan was on his knees again.Blood on his face.Shirt torn.Arms bound. But he was alive. Her breath left her lungs.“Nolan…” she whispered. His head lifted.Their eyes met.And something in his broke.“No,” he croaked. “No—no—no—”

The gun was raised.Nolan didn’t move.Didn’t flinch.Didn’t blink. He stood there, hands open at his sides, jaw clenched, eyes locked on Isabella’s mother as she trembled in the grip of two men.Her face was bruised. Her lip was split. But she was alive. That was all that mattered.“Let her go,” Nolan said.Marcus smiled faintly. “You don’t sound desperate.”Nolan’s eyes burned. “You want me. You’ve got me.”Marcus stepped closer, circling him slowly.“You always were arrogant,” Marcus said. “Even when you had nothing.”Nolan didn’t respond.“You think love makes you strong,” Marcus continued. “It doesn’t.”Nolan’s voice was steady. “It makes me dangerous.”Marcus laughed softly. “No. It makes you predictable.”He nodded once. The gun cocked.Isabella’s mother sobbed.Nolan’s heart slammed painfully against his ribs.“Stop,” he said quietly.Marcus tilted his head. “Beg.”Nolan stared at him. Then—He dropped to his knees.Marcus blinked. So did the men holding Isabella’s mother.Nol

  • RECLAIMING HIS EX WIFE    They Took the Wrong Woman

Isabella couldn’t breathe. The video froze on the screen.A woman, bound to a chair, face bruised, eyes swollen from crying. Her hair was a mess. Her mouth was gagged. Her body shook with sobs. And Isabella knew her.“Oh God…” she whispered.Juan stood behind her, rubbing his eyes.“Mommy?” he asked sleepily. She dropped the phone.Nolan caught it before it hit the floor. One look—And his entire body went rigid.“They took her,” Isabella whispered.Nolan’s jaw clenched. “Who is she?”Isabella swallowed. “My mother.”The words landed like a bomb.Nathan swore under his breath.Nolan’s chest tightened violently. “They found her?”“Yes,” Isabella said, tears streaming. “She lives in a small town. She doesn’t talk to anyone. She doesn’t even know half of what’s going on in my life.”Nolan’s eyes burned. “They chose her because they knew it would break you.”Isabella collapsed onto the couch, sobbing.“This is my fault,” she cried. “Everything is my fault.”Nolan crossed the room in secon

  • RECLAIMING HIS EX WIFE    They Know About Juan

Isabella didn’t scream. She couldn’t.Her throat closed around the sound, trapping it inside her chest where it burned like acid. Her phone trembled violently in her hand. The photo filled the screen.Juan.Sitting at his small classroom desk.Crayons scattered in front of him.Laughing.Alive.Unaware.Her knees gave out.Nolan caught her before she hit the floor.“What?” he demanded, panic slamming into his voice. She handed him the phone. He took one look—And his face drained of all color.“They were there,” she whispered. “Today.”Nathan swore under his breath.“This is no longer a warning,” Nolan said. “This is a declaration.”Isabella clutched his shirt, fingers digging into him. “They’re going to take him.”Nolan cupped her face, forcing her to look at him.“No,” he said. “They won’t.”Her eyes were wild. “They already know where he is.”“Yes,” he said. “Which means we move faster.”Nathan was already on the phone.“Pull Juan out of school immediately,” he snapped. “Full lockd

Don’t run.”Her breath came in short, panicked bursts.“I’m scared,” she whispered.“I know,” he said. “I’ve got you.”She took a step back. Then another. The living room felt wrong.Too still.Too staged. Her eyes flicked to the walls. The message was still there.YOU DIDN’T CHOOSE WRONG.Her chest tightened painfully.“Nolan,” she whispered. “They were here.”“I know,” he replied. “Security cameras show movement thirty minutes ago.”Her stomach dropped. “They were waiting for me.”
