Elora's POV.

“I can't believe that after saving you, you still don't see me as your Alpha and your mate!”

Alpha Killian's words pierced through my head countless times, even when he wasn't with me. It felt as though he was standing closer to me.

I couldn't get his voice out of my head. It kept haunting me, and it made me worry. I worried about the fact that he had actually left the room feeling down and furious.

I wished to stop him before he exited the room, but it wasn't possible, seeing how angry he was before he walked out of the room.

“Was I brutal towards him? I should have just said I'd think about it rather than telling him that he'd take over my pack when we were gone!” I let out to myself as I struck my forehead in frustration.

From the second he left the room, I had been feeling uncomfortable. Sitting for a few seconds was pretty impossible for me at this point.
