View MoreThe night had deeply enveloped the land, but the half moon's appearance was unusual – a phenomenon known as the "Moon of Horizontal Divide"
"The luminary of prophecy," an elderly man uttered, gazing intently at the moon, he was on a mountain. He quickly averted his gaze, fearing the moon's influence might cause him to shift unintentionally and lose himself. The young man accompanying him also looked away from the moon. "What is that, Grandpa?" he asked. "The coming of the luminary of prophecy is near. Do you know what that means?" The youth shook his head in response. "It means the arrival of one destined to vanquish the Carnifex and the one who controls them, the powerful sorceress who has never revealed herself to the world, is near. According to prophecy, when the luminary arrives, he will bring peace to the entire land by defeating the sorceress Divina and the monsters she made." The youth's eyes widened, shining with excitement. "Wow, is that true?" he asked in awe. "That's amazing! When will he arrive? Is there's an exact date for his appearance?" The old man stopped and thought for a moment. "I don't know... Yeah, you're right. I guess nobody knows when he's showing up. We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose." The Carnifex are a type of Werewolf that cannot transform into human form because they are undead creatures. They are cursed and under the control of the sorceress Divina, who commands them to hunt and kill Werewolves. According to the elderly, Divina's goal is to eradicate the entire Werewolf community, and she created the Carnifex from former Werewolves to achieve this. This prophecy is well-known among the Werewolf community, but it's mostly the elderly council members and those who study the prophecies who pay attention to it; the young ones tend to overlook it. After talking for a while, the two of them then descended from the mountain and headed home. . . . Coinciding with the appearance of the sign on the moon was the beginning of a change in the fate of a young woman, who unbeknownst to everyone, would play a significant role in the future. "Stay away! Don't touch me!" Shamia cried out in the dark and cold night as a stranger suddenly pounced on her, appearing out of nowhere. She was stunned for a second as she saw the handsome face of the man when he lay on top of her. She admitted that this was the first time she had seen such striking features. Every detail on his face - his eyes, nose, lips, and even his accentuated jaw - gave him a strong and masculine look, seemingly like a great painter's masterpiece. Her gaze lingered on his chiseled features for only a moment, though, before her attention was caught by his erratic behavior. He seemed out of his mind, acting like he was craving and greedy to eat, like he was extremely starving. Shamia's instincts screamed warning as she gazed into his bloodshot eyes. His menacing aura sent shivers down her spine. Could this be a Carnifex, a monstrous creature from her kind's darkest tales? Rumors spread that Carnifexes were undead Werewolves, driven by a sorcerer's dark magic to devour her own kind and sow chaos. The sorcerer's vengeance against the werewolves was said to be merciless, seeking to eradicate their entire bloodline. Shamia struggled, but what could a weakling like her, devoid of wolf spirit, do against the man's strength? She was clearly no match for him, and soon she was overpowered. Resigned to her fate, she closed her eyes tightly and waited for him to devour her alive, knowing she'd be his dinner for tonight. But what she expected didn't happen. As the man loomed over her, she thought he'd start feasting on her, but instead, she felt his warm lips brushing against her neck. She thought maybe he'd start there, but instead, he gave her a passionate kiss. It was then followed by a series of fervent kisses. 'What's going on?' she wondered. Shouldn't he be eating her? What was he doing instead? Shamia jolted as she felt the man's hand caressing her bre*st. "W-wait, what are you doing?" She tried to stop him, but he grasped both of her hands and pinned them above her head. With the man's strength, Shamia was helpless. A strange feeling crept over her - it seemed the man had other "appetites" in mind for her. But didn't he find her disgusting? Her face and body were dirty from a whole day's work at the quarry; couldn't he see the mud she had smeared over her face? Yet, the man seemed out of his senses, oblivious to her state as long as he could satiate his desires. The man ruthlessly removed Shamia's lower garments without difficulty. Moments later, Shamia felt a searing pain in her intimate area. As the man took her roughly, Shamia felt her insides being torn apart. She screamed even louder to seek help, unfortunately, no one came to to help her, as if the area was deserted. Shamia quietly cried and resigned herself to her fate. The man was successfully took her first time. He only did it once, but he looked extremely tired. Afterward, he didn't immediately withdraw from her body. A moment later, Shamia felt the man's hand beside her eye. She froze in her tears as he gently wiped them away with his fingers. "I'm sorry," he whispered softly. "Don't worry, I'll take responsibility for you." Shamia couldn't fully understand, but the words brought her a sense of peace. The thought that the man might be a carnifex completely slipped her mind; instead, the strong aura he exuded convinced her that he was likely an Alpha from a powerful pack. Shamia couldn't recall what happened next as she lost consciousness. When she woke up, Shamia found herself alone. As she sat up, a searing ache coursed through her core. Yet, when she glanced down, she noticed she was already dressed. If not for the throbbing pain, she might have convinced herself it was all a dream—that nothing had truly happened to her. She made her way home, limping with every step. Unbeknownst to her, her departure from that place marked the beginning of an irreversible shift in her life.Alexander learned that Andrick went to Shamia's house and did an assault on her because of Mario, Shamia's father. At the time the two were fighting, Mario was about to close the window when he saw the scene. Since it was the first time Mario saw his daughter fight, he got worried that she might get badly hurt. In his worry, he thought of calling Alexander for help, but the latter wasn't answering, only his voicemail was responding. He ended up leaving a message that Alexander only read the next morning. Andrick broke free from Alexander's grip with all his might. "W-what did you say?" He seemed unbelieving as he asked. "What, were you deaf to what I said?" Alexander asked back. "Don't change the subject, what did you mean by what you said earlier?" "Which part, that Shamia is my mate?" Alexander answered nonchalantly. Andrick clenched his fists. "I-I don't believe it..."Alexander adjusted his suit. "It's up to you, I've already warned you." Alexander headed to the door and wal
"What the...?! Why are you so stupid! Can you look where you're going?" Ingrid snapped at the servant as they collided at the door when she entered the mansion. The truth is, she's the one who wasn't paying attention because she was lost in thought. "S-sorry, Ms. Ingrid..." The servant apologized, even though she knew who was really at fault. Before Ingrid could walk away, she glared at her back with a twisted face and muttered under her breath. Ingrid suddenly turned around. "Go ahead and keep it up... you think I don't know that you're always doing that behind my back? Do you want to get fired?" The maid looked embarrassed and bowed her head. "S-sorry..." "Hmph! What's with all the apologies? You're so annoying... where's the elder Alpha?" "H-he's in the study..."Ingrid headed straight to Gregor's office and burst in without knocking. She was about to blurt out her discovery, but she froze when she saw him groaning and gasping sideways on his swivel chair. Ingrid was puzzl
As the guests departed, Shamia finally breathed a sigh of relief. It was only now that she realized how exhausting it had been to stand at the door and bid farewell to each and every one of them. Alexander approached her and suddenly took her by the wrist. "Come with me, let's get you to rest. Leave everything here to the staff." Alexander led Shamia to the pool area, where the latter appreciated the fresh air. Shamia was about to sit on a bench when Alexander stopped her. "I have something I want to confess to you. To be honest, I've been wanting to say this for a long time, but I've been waiting for the right moment." Shamia looked puzzled. "Go on, what is it?" "From the moment I first saw you at the auction house, I felt something different about you..." Shamia suddenly felt nervous, as if she knew what Alexander was going to say next."I don't know how to explain it, I know that was our first meeting, but I felt like you already mattered to me. I wanted to take you back then
After taking down the Carnifex, the mysterious woman strode towards the werewolves. She eyed the crowd and she saw that almost all of them were gawking at her in awe. The corner of her lip curled up, this was exactly the reaction she wanted to see. With that, she approached the trio. "Good day, just call me 'Luminaria'," she said, modulating her voice to conceal her identity. Alexander was perplexed - the name or title 'Luminaria' seemed eerily close to Shamia's title. What could it mean? Could there be two Luminary? Yet, to his knowledge, the old man igme had mentioned only one Luminary, and there was no mention of a Luminaria in the old man's prophecy.Shamia, too, was puzzled, but unlike Alexander, she didn't dwell on the faint sense of doubt that arose within her. She didn't even care if someone took her title or role that she had been rejected from the very beginning."Don't be surprised..." the woman said. "What do we know..." She glanced at Shamia. "What saying in the prophec
When Maegan was only a few inches away from Shamia, she suddenly snapped back to herself, shocked at what she had almost done. Her yellow eyes and long claws instantly returned to normal. She was about to create some distance when Shamia suddenly faced her, looking surprised to see her. "Ms. Guerrero! You're there, have you been there for long?" she asked. "Um... Yes... I-I mean..." Maegan stuttered, taken aback by the sudden turn of events. "I just arrived... I was going to say something, but I saw you were busy, so...""Is that so? What do you want to say?" Shamia asked, her gaze didn't leave Maegan."Uh... I just wanted to, uh, apologize for punishing you, even though there's no such rule." Maegan secretly clenched her fists as she said something she didn't want to say, but seemed to have no choice. She thought Shamia probably already knew Alexander had scolded and punished her, and she might even be laughing at her. Apologizing felt like a slap to her face, but she couldn't thi
"What’s going on here?" Gregor asked as he walked in. The maid froze, and taking a step back. "Are you two fighting again, Andrick?""Anything new, Dad? But this time, there’s something you need to know...," Andrick glanced at Ingrid, who was looking down with a pale face. "There’s just someone who had the nerve to accuse me of cheating, but it turns out they’re the one doing worse things."Gregor’s brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"Andrick approached Ingrid and suddenly pulled down the collar of her shirt to reveal a kiss mark on her neck. "Aside from this, I also caught a whiff of another guy’s sweat on her. You probably know what I mean, Dad."Gregor fell silent, swallowing hard as he glanced at Ingrid, who couldn't meet his gaze. What would he do now? Had Andrick discovered something?Despite holding more power than his son, he couldn't just brush the issue off, as the shame would still reflect on him and the entire pack, especially if it gets out. Besides, he couldn't bear the
